As long as they always weigh wearing them, they are probably less than the error of the scale anyway. Just don't be excited by the weight loss if you weigh naked one day.1 -
No, I weigh in at work fully clothed. I remove my shoes. Maybe I'm a couple pounds of clothing lighter than I thought? Get too obsessed, so I don't own a scale.0

I sleep in a tank top and underwear and that is what I weigh in. I actually weighed in my sleep clothes and then naked and got the same weight so I know that my clothes aren't adding anything as long as I wear the same thing each time. If it is cold and I wear pajama pants I take those off before I weigh because they add almost 2 pounds. But even if your clothes are adding 2 pounds if you're wearing the same clothes every time you will still see your loss.
My ritual is wake up, pee, start the coffee and weigh. I never eat or drink anything before I weigh. I always step on the scale twice unless I get a different reading. If I do, I step on it 3 times and take the average and then I know I need to change my scale batteries. I usually get the same weight both times.0 -

I don't get naked to weigh, especially not in winter! In summer i wear boxer shorts and tank top to bed, in winter pj pants and tank top, none of which make a noticeable difference on the scale.0 -

I'm hearing hints in some posts that suggest one has a "true weight". Not really so.
It's more like we have a small range of weight, which will vary through the day as well as from day to day, even if we're not gaining/losing fat or muscle. (Less fiber in yesterday's food, more sodium in last night's dinner, sweating from exercise, etc.) Weighing is just a snapshot of a moment in those continuous cycles.
We also have a direction of weight: Here on MFP, lots of people want that direction to be "downward". Expect your daily weight to take a jagged, slightly up/slightly course in an overall downward direction, if you're on track.
Lots of us do that "first thing in the morning, after the bathroom, naked" thing just to filter out extraneous variables. There's no point in doing anything to pursue "one true weight".3 -
get up in the morning, drink a bit of water, go to the bathroom, weigh naked. every day0

I always have to reset the scale because my cats like to walk on it and it gets confused. Same as the majority in rituals. I also like to workout first thing so I know I consistently sweat out 0.8lbs during my hour on the bike.1

I am kind of weird. I am trying to gain weight, and I weigh myself twice on Mondays and Fridays. First weigh in is in the morning after I go to the bathroom and before I eat. The second time around noonish - some time after I ate breakfast and a snack. I do this because I go to the doctor's office frequently, and I have to eat before hand since my blood pressure is super low. I tend to enter in the 2nd weigh in to my MFP to get an idea of what I'll see at the clinic (and to get me to eat more), but I pay attention to both trends.0

I've change my routine slightly. Weighing 2-3 time to try to get a consistent number. Of course, because of my dumb scale, that means stepping on it 4-6 times.2

I pray for a big poop the night before.1

1. Get out of bed
2. Remove all clothing
3. Empty my bladder and bowels (on a toilet, of course!)
4. Weigh
My daily weigh in then gets automatically synced to Happy Scale.

I don't poop until ~ 10 am . If I could poop at 5 am I'd be happy.0 -

This is me lol On a good day, it happens 5-10 minutes after getting up in the morning. If i don't go within 30 minutes, i know it's not going to happen at all that day.
I just hate weighing knowing all the food i ate yesterday is getting weighed too, so if I'm not as empty as possible i don't bother weighing that day.1 -

I'm happy with any poops, but my fave poops are Monday evenings, since I weigh in on Tuesday AM.0 -

I don't think i have ever in my life pooped in the afternoon or evening. It'd either first thing in the morning or not at all.
I wish i could be like my hubby, who goes soon after every meal.0 -

I think my hubby can poop on demand. I don't have to poop only in the morning, but sometimes I feel like I NEVER get to poop.0 -

One thing about losing weight (and due to eating less). I used to 3 times a day. Now I'm happy with 1 time.
Enough about poop.0 -

Yes agreed, this thread has taken quite the turn. I don't ever talk about this subject with my husband, but i can talk freely about it with everyone on here
But yes, enough poop talk

This is just me and my wacky digestive system, so it's nothing against omnivores... but when I ate meat, I was perpetually constipated. I'd be lucky to go once every 3-4 days or so.
Now that I'm a vegetarian? Every morning, like clockwork. That was even before I was on regular magnesium supplementation.
Oh, btw, if you take magnesium long enough, you seem to get used to it. At least that was my experience. I don't have any profound laxative effect to a rather high daily dose of it (I take it as part of a migraine protocol).0 -

You two are weird.... I'm going to do this tomorrow morning and see what difference this very scientific way of weighing makes
I wonder if guys do this with another part of their anatomy? Giggedy0 -
