I know it's a lame question ...But someone asked me & then I said "Why how many can u do?" Suddenly I'm curious what the average person can do or does daily ....

I haven't done normal push ups in ages but I was at 36 last time I did them. Now I only do push ups with my elbows tugged to my body and I can only manage 25 of those

Well I was doing the 22 pushup challenge and missed a day so I doubled up and when I got to 44 I started to gas, but I think I could have gotten 50.

I suck at push ups!! Like really, really bad. It is embarrassing. I hate them. I have no upper body strength, which I am trying to work on.

On my toes, maybe 7. On my knees, around 30. I'm not very strong.

Not positive but I'm pretty sure the chart I posted above for ladies...was for push-ups on your knees

I could probably give you fiddy with impeccable form until the costochondritis flares up. Push-ups (and dumbbell curls) were all I did as a teenager. Bruce Lee was my idol.

Ouch sounds painful. I hope it's not too severe.
