Not necessary at all and in fact it of not healthy at all either. You aren't going to lose any fat doing this just poop.

that was enough for me to kill that idea. :) Thank you!!!

    I like you already :)

They just make you poop and that is the 1lb or so you'd lose.

Awesome! As someone who has had multiple colonoscopies the prep is definitely not fun. Note: I'm going to be doing my last prep ever soon and so so excited to never have to do it again!

Woohoo! My best friend has UC and she always hated those too.

It's a good/bad woohoo though lol. I'm having surgery which would make future colonoscopies impossible ;)

I did. I admit it. I fell for this probably about 10-ish years ago.

It was brutally painful, a bit mortifying (it's not your finest moment when you're lying on your side on a table, while a cute young girl is flushing your *kitten* with saline while it fills a bucket next to you of your stinky renmnats). I ended up having to go to the ER about a week later because I suffered from such severe constipation. I had to take a supplement to help me take a dump for almost an entire year after having one.

    Don't do this. Please.

Oh wow!!! ill just stick to my tea

What tea? Hope just green or black tea. If its senna, Smoothe move or weight loss tea - pitch them as well.

Its called Flat Tummy Tea, it more of a green tea. It really helps me with bloating. you get 2 kinds one for days helps with energy and focus and the other for every other night that's a cleanse. its not a strong cleanse so im not running to the bathroom all the time but it works great when I have eaten a bunch of junk and need to get rid of my bloated belly.

I live in a disgustingly hipster area and there's a raw vegan restaurant/yoga studio/massage therapy center/colonic center (yes, they're all those things at once) in my neighborhood. It's definitely back.

Cleanses, powders, pills and wraps are unnecessary. Eat your recommended calories. Drink water. Spending $40-50 a month on "tea" is ridiculous.

Laxatives aren't meant to be used to get rid of bloat or as a fix for eating a bunch of junk. The more you use it the more you become dependent on it and you won't be able to poop without using it.

I don't drink the tea all the time, I will not become dependent on it. I am one of those people who doesn't go poop as much as I should so a little help added with bunch of green veggies doesn't hurt. and trust me I DO NOT have the money to buy it every month LOL

I am legitimately shocked that people would consider eating at a place that also did colon cleanses. That is not something I want to be thinking about when I'm eating.

I was shocked too. The entire concept of that place is totally disjointed.

I thought I lived in a hipster neighborhood, but you win.

I'm glad to hear you don't have the money for it too often. Teas like that is how I slipped into laxative abuse. When they stopped being as effective (cause body gets used to it) I switched to stronger OTC stuff. Then when that stopped working I went to the doctor for prescription strength stuff. He eventually sent me to therapy. It took years to reteach my body how to have a BM without the help of laxatives.

OP: Drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet that includes 30% to 80% good quality, high fiber fruits and vegetables in each meal, and forget about teas and cleanses.

    Or smelling, for that matter.

I would worry about potential cross contamination. Which could infect and kill someone.
