Natural oats, as in just plain oats without added sugar/salt are good for you. They contain protein and fiber and other things.

Do they become bad when you add deliciousness to them? I have no interest in plain oats.

Have you ever had oatmeal with mini chocolate chips? It is pretty good.

I have some dark chocolate honey that I like in my oatmeal. Chocolate chips? Not sure why I've never thought of that. I think I know part of Saturday's breakfast.

I am back onto a savory oatmeal kick -- had steel cut with zucchini and asparagus plus a couple of over easy eggs mixed in--tastes great together.

Hope it doesn't mess up my alignment! ;-)

Since I zap my oats in the microwave, I've taken to just beating a couple of eggs and mixing them directly into the oats, then nuking for another minute or so. Add in a bit if cinnamon, cumin and tumeric, and zomg it's amazing.
