You can't eat the same amount as him and maintain or lose weight. That's just the way the cards work so get over it.
My boyfriend is a 6'2" marathon runner. He can eat anything.
I'm a squat powerlifter who doesn't do a minute of cardio and only have 1800 to maintain my weight.
Ways I make sure to enjoy myself without feeling like he is "sabotaging" my efforts:
-During the week I shave off calories so that I can enjoy a delicious calorie dense meal with him on the weekend
-Sometimes I'll even do this throughout the day. I can get by until dinner on 600 calories and that gives me room to eat almost whatever he makes (in smaller portions than him), a drink, and a small dessert.
-If he is making eggs and has 3, 2 slices of bread with peanut butter, yogurt and granola...I get an egg or two and a slice of bread.
-Etc.
Luckily we are both athletes so he DOES check to see if I can have the carbs that night if he is cooking, but if not...no biggie. He can eat them and I get two-three servings of vegetables instead.
Work around it and work for YOUR body and goals.1
