First two are carvings by Zheng Chunhui. The second picture is the worlds largest wood carving on one piece of wood.
Don't know the artist on the last two carvings.
Artist on the last one is Peter Demetz:

Point 1. No, you couldn't have.
Point 2. .... and you didn't.
You can't appreciate a lot of art like Rothko's without seeing it in person - a reproduction in a book or on the internet can't do a work of art justice because you're getting a crude approximation of the colors and textures you see when you're in it's presence -- or the psychological impact of experiencing it.2 -

I sat in a London Art Museum last month surrounded by Rothko's art. It's amazing work.0 -

Stanley Lau (Artgerm) has work that I can study for hours. He has such a unique style that is rarely seen anymore in comic book covers. Soft colours, yet strong lines. He's a genius.2 -

There's an aboriginal artist here named Roy Henry Vickers who does some incredible stuff and quite nostalgic for me.

Visited The Art Museum this weekend and I saw this new exhibit and I loved it. Simple yet awesome. They used plain canvases as projector screens. Each one displayed really cool patterns.
