Wendy's chilli or extreme pita. I prefer Wendy's chilli cause it's only 3$ 250 cals and 24g protein. You really can't go wrong lol

A lot of fast food places have less calorie dense options. I legit eat fast food every single day; don't believe me have a creep at my diary. Just because someone else makes it and sells it to you doesn't disqualify it as a healthy option.

I'm really surprised by how many people would just skip lunch. If I skipped lunch, one of two things would happen: 1) I'd go out mid-afternoon to the closest convenience store and binge on chili cheese fritos and oreos; or 2) I'd develop a migraine and feel like *kitten* the rest of the day.

Might as well find SOME moderate lunch alternative. It's not that big of a deal.

Did they change the *kitten* filter?

Grilled Ranch Snack Wrap from McDonalds. Even if I have two, they are enough to be filling without overwhelming me with calories.

I probably have enough food in my cubicle to live off of for a couple of weeks. Lance PB crackers. Oatmeal. Protein bars. Can of soup. Lots of choices.

I skip breakfast daily so if I forgot my lunch I would get a headache so bad I'd probably be nauseated. Once I forgot my wallet and had no money for takeout (I always eat lunch at a cheap fast food place) and I thought I was going to die. Legitimately die lol

I would do nothing except drink some water and draw comfort from the fact that at least my lunch for tomorrow was already ready.

My poor students. I'd be ripping heads off by the end of the day.

If I forget my lunch I usually look through the websites of local fast food and pick up something that fits my goals.

I'm so jealous that you can leave school to go out to lunch! We get 20 minutes to eat WITH the kids!

How is it that you have to eat with the kids? In CA you are guaranteed a lunch by state law. Ours is part of our contract. There isn't always enough time to leave, and it's cafeteria lunch in those situations. Even in private schools I subbed in the teachers might eat with the kids, but at least got some time off at recess.

I just do without until I get home and can eat the food I prepared.

Same. I am currently surviving on coffee and sheer stubbornness until I can get home.

In my small town, we have 2 convenience stores. No grocery stores - the nearest one is 15 miles away. But one of the convenience stores sells fresh fruit, 1 serving packages of cheese, yogurt, etc. If I felt I needed to, I would eat that. Or I would just get their chicken sandwich.

I teach in Missouri, and that's not the case here. We aren't even allowed to leave the building, unless it's a rare occurrence like a doctor's appointment or something. Sigh.

For me, it's monetary. If I don't bring something, I cannot afford to buy something so I just caffeinate using the free coffee at work. Not everyone can just grab munchies on the go.

And they wonder why there is a teacher shortage....

Grocery store or convenience store or even gas station - I would go get a can of soup if nothing else was available. I usually keep a can of Campbells veg soup in my desk drawer for those mornings when I have a seniors moment, and leave the house empty handed. It doesnt happen too often, as I am a pretty meticulous planner, but some mornings are just a *kitten* show, you know?!

I'm so glad I work from home now. When I worked in an office, I would rely on shakes and convenience foods like protein bars. Now I eat stuff like oatmeal, omlettes and pancakes (Kodiak Cakes) every day.
