What bad habit are you currently trying to break?

It can be anything from biting your nails or hitting the snooze button too often! Mine is silly, but I have an addiction to Q-tips, and I use them every day. To the point where I have caused myself multiple ear infections, but I just don't quite. Today is day one of trying to break it! Lol

The easiest person to lie to is ourselves.
I'm working on not sugarcoating my actions and being honest with myself.9 -
wasting time on the internet at work. Thanks OP...8

To get out more. I tend to stay in on the weekends to the point where I don't even leave my house! Saying 'yes' and committing when I get invited out on the weekends.9

You're very welcome! I'm only here to help!Excessive drinking
That's one I have been struggling with lately, as well. I'm finally at a point where I no longer crave a beer every day after work. It's a tough one to break, but definitely do-able.2 -

We are basically like identical twins except a few insignificant details. Btw, did I tell you that Isabelle e. Vincent is mine too?0 -

Making mountains out of molehills. (I've been diagnosed with mild anxiety. As in, don't need regular meds, may need to get a prescription for a one-off high-stress situation, but haven't done it yet.) Mostly, it kind of comes down to:
Anxiety: OMG! This is going to be bad! How can I cope?
Me: Oh no! No! Wait... what's going to be bad?
Anxiety: I don't know, but my heart is pounding, I can't stop worrying, so there's got to be a reason, right?
Me: Yeah... wait. Wait, yeah, the reason is that this is what you do. You get a little nervous, you use your imagination and come up with reasons to stay nervous, and you keep building. Because you have issues with anxiety and this is how they manifest.
Anxiety: Oh. Right. Okay. Settling down.
But that's if I can check myself in time.
I know that for many people this doesn't work, but again my issues thankfully aren't severe. So mostly, I'm kind of trying to be aware of my thinking before I get caught in the undertow.7 -
Overthinking is another bad habit of mine. I drive myself nuts.8

Me, too! I overthink situations to the point where I'm wondering how they'll affect my life in 5 years, when it would actually be completely irrelevant...0 -
Seems that overthinking is quite a shared problem. Good to know we aren't alone3

Milo's Splenda tea - I get hooked on a beverage and I can't stop. (Milo's is an Alabama thing, pick your poison though. Splenda, tea, water, done.)0
