I was trying keto this past week or so (I stopped today, I need to get groceries but I can't yet) . And everything was fine except my calorie intake . I was eating good food but not enough . I would 600-800 ish calories and that breakfast, lunch and a snack . (practice is late so I eat dinner after it). I was fine and feeling pretty good after each meal excepted when I tracked and noticed how little it actually was. Any help with this ?What's more important the carbs or the calories.

Calorie deficit is what leads to weight loss.

I'm at a MAJOR deficit. 600 calories is about what I burn in just my warm up

Most people who do keto eat a high amount of fat, which will bring your calories up. You can check out the low carb forums for other tips.

How are you determining how many calories you are eating? If you are not using a food scale, there is a good chance you are eating more than you think.

The meat I buy is already scaled when I buy so I know how much that is the only thing I dont know is the veggies. I usually eat about half the pack at once but I been if I dint I eat the rest later that day so I would have consumed the whole bag

What about the fat? If you're eating just meat and vegies, you're not doing keto...

You might like to figure out a proper meal plan and shop for groceries to suit, first. My understanding of this way of eating is that consistently keeping your carbs very low is essential to get into ketosis and stay there, so if your intake is hit and miss that won't be helping you. Plus be aware that some veggies can have a lot of carbs, so you might need to watch your intake of those. Fats and additional salt are needed too, I believe, although I'm sure more knowledgeable people will chime in on that!

Checking out the low carber forum groups here might be helpful to you, if you want to continue this method (although only a calorie deficit is necessary for weight loss, so following a keto lifestyle isn't required unless you want to do that and it works for your lifestyle).
