Ok, I finally listened to them all. Wow, some of y'all have sexy voices & some really smooth voices. Seriously, I could listen to some of y'all read poetry & whatnot all day. Best MFP thread ever.
Since I'm a pyro, I thought I would read the opening to one of my favorite books, by my favorite author ever: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I can't do justice to the artistry of Bradbury's writing, but my kids enjoy it when I read books to them & that's all that really matters in that realm.

Well, I didn't really know what to say, but here you go. Please excuse my excessive use of "y'all". I didn't realize how much that was ingrained in my vocabulary until I listened to it.

Thank you? I don't know if that is a compliment....

It was intended as a compliment. It's clear crisp and melodious. You still use American words but meh we can't all be perfect...

I feel like if I say those words there will be a British accent. I dont think it is possible for an American to say 'crumpets' without one

    here's a bunch of em:

    Crumpets
    Motorway
    Petrol
    Sweets
    mobile phone
    Pavement
    flannel
    wardrobe
    chemist
    aubergine
    courgette

Someone mentioned alcohol? We should totally do that! Record stuff while we drink. First one to slur their words loses.

I would probably lose! I have low tolerance these days, but this could be fun

Fun and possibly dangerous. Maybe we should make the goal to drink, but not get banned. Most people have no filters when alcohol is involved. Hell my filter barely works when I'm sober.

When I drink I just get extra lovey. I will tell everyone how much I love them and likely be really embarrassed the next day. Lol

I don't drink but I promise I wont take advantage.

I love everyone too when I drink. I give hugs to random people, dry hump my friends, you know, *kitten* like that  We could cause a lot of problems if we ever drank together.
