Ok, I finally listened to them all. Wow, some of y'all have sexy voices & some really smooth voices. Seriously, I could listen to some of y'all read poetry & whatnot all day. Best MFP thread ever.
Since I'm a pyro, I thought I would read the opening to one of my favorite books, by my favorite author ever: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I can't do justice to the artistry of Bradbury's writing, but my kids enjoy it when I read books to them & that's all that really matters in that realm.

I feel like if I say those words there will be a British accent. I dont think it is possible for an American to say 'crumpets' without one

You pronounced them all fine except mobile phone, aubergine and i forget the others. Well they might be correct they're just different to how i would.
I pronounce mobile as mo-bile and aubergine as Obergine0 -

I am going to have to do some research on cockney slang. I will have to compile a list of words because I couldn't give you a single one right now
