A lot more pom lol I'm not sure what a pom is supposed to sound like! What I noticed with my accent is I sometimes revert to that inner city sound but I don't say the same words. For example they tend to turn Th sounds into F's so fings instead of things. That does creep in from time to time but unless I'm taking the piss I tend not to use the lingo!
I'm surprised by a few peeps accents, I thought yours was a lot deeper and more outback than I was expecting. Alot of my aussie mates are from the Sidney area or Perth and they seem to have a higher pitched accent.0 -
Well, with a username like @MrStabbems , I was so hoping you'd sound more sinister.
Like you, I tend to have that inner city accent slip in, at times. Usually when I'm bantering with people I'm very familiar with.

Ive heard some people say who travel a lot within Australia that they can tell what state we are from and that there are quite distinct differences between us as well as a few different words for certain things ..
I lived most of my life within 3 hours of Sydney out in the country..
