Yes. My husband (pretty built; 6'3, 210) prefers "thicker" women. His "ideal" size is 5'3ish and a size 14ish.

I've been every size from a 2-20. I get the most male attention now, b/c I'm muscular (size 4). Second most male attention was around a size 10+ at 5'3.

I've seen guys in all shapes and sizes date girls in all shapes and sizes so anything is possible. My guy is actually not into working out at all and is a bit chubby. I love him and I'm very attracted to him. For me, it's the personality that matters.
I've never found a buff guy with the personality I like. I like goofy intelligent guys whit sharp wits but they're gonna have to be kind as well. I haven't met a buff guy who spikes my interest yet and usually they're attitude puts me off. But I like watching them ;)

    Sigh

Guys are going to have all kinds of different preferences, gym or not. I personally prefer an athletic look...my best friend likes rail thin...another good friend of mine likes his women a bit on the chubby side...everyone has different preferences.

Are chubby girls at the gym differwnt when they are not a the gym? What does the gym have to do with it?

It's an indication that they care about their health and fitness despite having a few extra lbs. chubby girls at gym > chubby girls at McDonald's for some

    Yes.

I'll take a (as you say) chubby girl who I really like any day over a girl who is just fit.

ok I have no problems with any womans weight no matter where they are located. we all go to the gym for the same reason so weight isn't a reason to like or dislike anyone there. that's judgemental and wrong. take it from a man who was at the same gym 2 years ago weighing 472lbs!! im no longer that guy, but my outlook I had when I was that guy remains the same!

That's your preference. I personally couldn't be attracted to an overweight person who wasn't at least TRYING to do something about their health. Not because they're chubby, but because it says a lot about their personality to ignore and continue down a destructive path with respect to their health.

Specs and logs in eyes really. But that is what makes the world interesting.

My ex worked out every single day and is very fit. During most of our relationship I weighed between 180-235. Though he is a great guy and told me I was beautiful at any weight, once I got under about 150 (even before I was this muscular) he was less attracted to me. His personal preference in the looks department just happened to be a softer more voluptuous look.

Exactly. It's all preference of the individual.

What about chubby girls who go to mcdonalds and then the gym? Does that cancel out?
    No, but Chickfila would.

My last boyfriend wasn't a "gym rat", but he had an eight pack and was muscular and he's always preferred bigger women. (For context, I'm 5'8 and over 300lbs.)
    So, yeah, some guys do.
