What have you gotten to experience because of your current or ex SO?

Wow, this is kinda depressing me. I can start kicking off a huge list of things my DH has experienced because of me, but what have I done because of his influence. I've never moved out of this area, I have a crappy safe government job because he was afraid my hi tech job would be offshored, I've had shocks, heartbreak and disappointment. Hmmm.
Ah, the things we'll do for love.1 -

What have you gotten to experience because of your SO?
Everything a life of 25+ years together brings.
Lots of the highest highs
Building a life together, and bringing life into the world.
Mentoring and raising them in our traditions.
Too many good memories to even recall them all. But all them revolve around our family and us.
We've also had the lowest lows, but sharing a life together will have those too.
Started years and years ago...
Been around the world, and most amazing place is still my home were AMAZING ordinary everyday life happens.

Because of my husband I started lifting weights. I always assumed girls who lifted weights turned into manly women, I did not realize it just made everything more defined.
Hubby also got me interested in traveling
Hubby taught me to learn another language
And hubby gave me an amazing baby1 -
The most amazing, memorable massages I've ever experienced.1

Because of my Mama who was a single Mom, I learned to fix things around the house.
As an adult I studied books and codes and self taught myself to do carpentry, plumbing, electrical and just about every skill I would need to build a house on my own. God gave me the gift of great taste and artistic talent to Design the homes I renovate!3 -
ex's:
what date a musician was like

lost fear for gun. Actually, now I own a couple.

My ex introduced me to Canada. (From the UK originally)
My SO introduced me to camping and hiking in the Rockies, including Jasper (named a cat after the place) and Banff.
Cheers, h.0 -
The most memorable I can think of rn is flying in a hot air balloon! Let it be known it was tethered to the ground by ropes, but it was still something I never saw myself doing before! I'm also much more active when I spend time with him. Half our dates consist of geocaching; it is like adult treasure hunting.1

I've experienced forgiveness and unconditional love.
Best one I have seen so far. I can get sex from a stranger at a bar. I can go see a movie and hang with a friend. This....forgiveness and unconditional love, that is what a relationship is all about!!

With one of my ex gfs, I experienced what it was like to have someone to talk to on a daily basis and someone who had your back. Granted I was still insecure back then and people who were insecure themselves would make fun of me and say why would a chick wanna date someone as ugly as me but at the same time, it was nice having someone to talk to who cared about me. I never got to experience true love though as it was just an infatuation.0

I never seem many people mention that on here. That has always kind of surprised me. I like to do this as well on nice days when there is nothing else on the calendar to do.
Geocaching....utilizing a multi-billion dollar satellite system to find Tupperware in the woods!

I'll toss out another one. Got to meet with the trainer in a few minutes, so don't have much time.
Because of my wife, I was introduced to Elvis
Of course, I have heard of Elvis Presley before my wife and probably even knew a song or two. However, I really had no idea of the talent he had until I met her and started listening to him
For our first anniversary, I took her on a surprise trip of which the first stop was Graceland in Memphis. What a kick *kitten* experience that was. I loved it0 -
I got to experience narcissistic personality disorder first hand. Do not recommend0
