Beginner runner (C25K) - question about pain

I've got to be honest I don't think that there are many shops in my area other than JD and sports direct, there is an adidas shop but they are too expensive.

The reason I'm not sold on gait analysis, particularly as a new runner, is that your gait will change fairly quickly as you get used to running, and as you lose weight.
Personally I started in strong motion control shoes, but now tend to use neutral, minimal cushioning, low heel-toe drop for preference.0
