NSV Purple dress but need shoe help!

So I have managed to drop a dress size for my sister in laws wedding ,went and bought a Karen Millen size (UK)12 to celebrate, came home with this purple number and now need help with what colours go! I need a jacket and shoes. Black feels too cold and I'm worried silver makes me look like a chocolate bar.
Any tips? Help me! :P

I think black would be ok - especially if strappy!
What about nude, or another metallic - pewter, rose gold, gold?
Or something bright like coral?1 -
I think gold would look great with this if you don't want to wear black. But also black actually, just not something too old lady like if you know what I mean!1

You could wear nude color with that or get a dyed to match pair of shoes. It's not that expensive.2

Gold/rose gold!! i wore a purple bridesmaid dress a few years back and the gold shoes were fab with it and we also had gold shawls and a gold bag.1

That dress is absolutely gorgeous! Personally, I would probably go with a pewter or silver strappy heel, and I like the idea of a nude patent pump, too.2

I've seen some people pull off strappy brown gladiator-esque sandals with that color purple before!1

Nude. Nude goes with everything and will make your legs look longer.
And that's a great dress!3 -
My wife got some purple shoes that go very well with a purple dress from Avon. She wore them once.1

edit. Is this maybe a bit too muted/pastel considering how deep the colour is in the dress? (I'd have a better idea in a shop but having to buy online)0 -

This may also help:
Analogous Colors: On the principle of wearing colors from the same family, analogous colors are in the groups of three, choose any hue and the color on its right and left together make analogous colors. It is a harmonious combination and is pretty simple to get right.
Complimentary colors: Any two colors lying diagonally opposite to each other in the color wheel are complimentary colors. These create high a very high contrast and if not done right, can make you look like you arrived out of a color book. But that should not be the reason to abandon mixing complimentary colors.
