You're NOT???!!!
This must be what the tiny pink dumbbells are made for! So you don't exert yourself.2 -
No I can't say that since I started strength training I Have had that sort of issue....it could be tho because I started with bodyweight and worked my way up so by the time I got to lifting heavy it wasn't such a shock.0

Oh I am so happy to read all these tales of woe. (not the really injurious ones obviously)
I have always thought it was because I was so old that I have had to resort to drinking through straws when I got home, groaning sitting on the toilet, and getting up, and all those other things that I now see are quite normal.
I did have to abandon my car one time and walk across the field home because I didn't think I could trust my legs, the downfall of preferring manual. (A normal 5min walk took 15 with a stop and sit on the baseball bleachers)
Cheers, h.2 -
Upped the weight I was using for leg extensions. Lost track of time and spent longer on the bike than intended.
Went home, squatted down to sort through my laundry basket, and... eventually decided to just fall over sideways, because my quads were clearly not going to have any part of getting myself back up again.

You coach is an idiot. Continually training to muscular failure is a great way to need an orthopedic specialist.

No, nothing. But I tend to be a clumsy human and the squat rack/free weights are upstairs at my gym... one of these days after an intense leg session I could see myself falling down. As my mom always said, I could trip on air.1

So you really don't strength train then
Where did you get this info? The cookie monster...
I don't get sore as much anymore to where I'm staggering around or can't lift my arms but I wish I would.
No stories I'd share here from when I did1 -
I am so sorry about your injuries. That's terrible.
I swear that I tore my ACL playing soccer because my legs were tired and weak from squatting the day before.
And, more recently, I may have seriously aggravated a previous meniscus tear standing up from the dinner table after a day of lifting and then tennis. Knee swelled up as big as a softball for two months!1 -
My fiancé thought it was pretty funny when he had to help me get my sports bra off because I couldn't lift my arms after shoulder day2
-
A number of times I have failed to open jars after working arms the previous day. Embarrassing enough as it is but more so when a girl comes along and opens it afterwards!2

I just tell people in the locker room at the gym I blow my hair upside down because it gives it more volume. Actual reason: I can't raise my arms high enough to style my hair while standing upright after shoulders/triceps fun time.2

Haha. Don't be a megabore and share1 -
I caught myself "carrying invisible suitcases" after a rough chest/tries day - that awful "i'm so bulky I can't walk with my arms by my sides" stance. My arms were slightly swollen from the work I had been doing, but nothing noticeable to others. Luckily the gym was virtually empty haha1
