    That sucks. Maybe check/call any local fish markets if there are any, they might have it imported or something. The brand I think might be specific to the local big store chain for me, but im sure they have other brands of the same thing.

    Hmmm I've never heard of that..I can't imagine the sweetness of brown sugar with salmon..or does the smoking make it less sweet?

    It works the same way a brown sugar rub works on pork ribs; just use the same type of rub. And the smoking does help mellow out the sweet.

    See..I've never heard of a brown sugar rub on pork ribs either...I generally do ribs in a sweet chilli sauce mixed with hot peri peri sauce.
    Tbh..I've never tried anything other than ham and salmon smoked..
