I was on a long run once and my gut damn near leaked into my shorts. Thankfully that bush was there to take one for the team.15

Sure. If I run too much, my knees will hurt. But Gale is telling us about a different kind of bad outcome, this leaky gut stuff is nebulous and hidden. Any one of us might have it and not even know!!
Along with chronic inflammation.4 -
Does it also create a histamine response or is that just half of all foods?2

Cholinergic urticaria does exist - but it's treatable by taking a cool shower.2 -

I don't know about too much exercise causing leaky gut, but too much eye rolling has caused my headache.14

So if you ski 30+ miles with a 100 lb backpack, it messes with your gut bacteria.
Didn't see how enduring the change was, it may just be a short term reaction to intense physiological stress.

Sorry but if this were true, we'd have all our special forces people in every branch of military and police dying from "leaky gut" syndromes rather than war, special ops or high risk police work. Let's see more CONCLUSIVE studies and not correlations.
The peer reviewed studies covered autoimmune issues, but didn't state overexercising could cause it.

In this case there doesn't even seem to be correlation.
Op. I really don't understand why you post the things you do. I don't know what you get out of it.
