We use geothermal water to heat our homes and we bathe in it.. It's cheap, costs about 20$ per month or 2000 Icelandic krona

Electricity is also cheap or about 15$ or 1200 isk per month.

We have geothermal heating in our home here.

I have no idea what the electric bill is monthly though since it's not paid by us.

I remember living in a studio apartment long time ago with a bill this nice!

It depends on the season. Milder temps run the a/c less, colder fall/winters run the heat more.

In the summer it's close to $90-95 with the A/C running.

I just watched a cool engineering/science show on on this. Totally amazing.

how do you guys live at that temp? my thermostat stays on 68 all year long

During the summer in AZ average temps are over 110 degrees so walking into 79 degree is perfect. During the winter the house generally stays around 68 degrees and I rarely have to run anything, though I do have the heat kick on if it gets lower than 65 to take the edge off back to 68-70.

I own my two bedroom house, and my bill is averaged. It runs between $225-$275 at the most. That includes natural gas and electricity. Apartments around my area average closer to $100-$125/mo. Those prices are with AC on in the summer and heat in the winter. Honestly in my area there are very few days you won't have one or the other running. Maybe a couple of weeks in the spring where no AC or heat is needed, and a couple in the fall, but other than that it's heat or AC.

Electric $200, Water $50, Sewer $50, Garbage $35. Electric can double in winter months. 4,000 sq house in a rural winter wasteland.
