So it's been all about baby steps. I've been trying to log every day (even if I go over my target numbers), wear my Fitbit every day and focusing on making better food choices. This week, I started Plexus Slim this week. Does anyone else on here use Slim? Just curious how it's going for you.

I took most of the Plexus products for 6 solid months, was an absolute waste of time and $$$$. I could cry when i think about all that money i wasted.
Pay zero attention to the MLM scams your "friends" plaster all over Facebook. They are designed to suck in desperate, overweight people and the ambassadors/coaches who sell this garbage are in it to make as much money as possible from their unsuspecting and trusting victims!
I befriended quite a few REAL people who were also taking plexus when i was, as i wanted their input and tips on why this stuff wasn't working for me. Well guess what, it didn't work for them either.16 -

The one friend I have who used and sold it ended up paying to go to a medical weight loss clinic. The friend of hers that kept trying to Facebook me to try it was obese years after starting the products. That told me everything I needed to know.6

It's a scam, like every other MLM product. The only weight you'll lose is from your wallet and the only person who gets any benefits from them is the one selling them.

Never waste your money on products claiming they will "help" you lose weight. Diet and exercise is the only way you will lose weight.8

I have some pretty serious health conditions. I have taken the products for five months now consistently and all I can say is I now have the energy and am pain free enough and healthy enough to exercise again which has resulted in weight loss (of course).4

Oh, and I took the ingredients etc to my doctor before trying any of it. It was all approved by my medical team.1

I did Plexus for a while too & it did nothing for me but so far on mfp, I lost 41 lbs5

I hope I'm not too late to the party. Please note, the FDA has a written letter of complaint on their website to Plexus Worldwide. They are currently being investigated for being a pyrmad scheme (the new Herbalife, basically).
I became concerned with Plexus initially when a close friend of mine became involved with them. They live on the poverty line, so money is incredibly tight. As soon as she told me she was getting involved in a "multi-level marketing" (MLM) company, with promises of making hundreds of thousands of dollars, I warned her against it. Companies like this prey on struggling people. Thousands of people get into debt to trying to push these products. Anything that claims to change your entire life due to selling a product and getting people to work under you is a scam.
Please don't buy these products. A. Nutritionally, they're not that great (bodybuilding.com has great fat burners with open reviews) and minimal protein (15 grams is laughable for a protein shake), B. It is morally corrupt. They are screwing people over. MLMs are disgusting. Don't play into them.

So sorry to hear you got scammed into buying that. Instead of buying more use that money to buy a nice food scale and maybe some workout clothes.3

fat burners dont work, you burn fat in a deficit.5 -
I use Plexus and I don't really think of it as a "lose weight quickly" group of products, even though that's how they're marketed. It's more of a health and wellness line...probiotics, magnesium, vitamins, enzymes, etc.
I agree that a supplement alone won't cause weight loss--you have to put in the effort to change eating habits and get some exercise. But I do think taking good quality vitamins and probiotics helps everyone whether trying to lose weight or not.9 -

for a "health and wellness" product they are severely lacking and make false claims4 -

But they aren't even good quality
This is not true. I have known quite a lot of the people that have helped to develop their vitamin and supplement lines as well as their history and knowledge level, and they are good quality. They lean heavily towards the most absorbable forms of supplements they can get depending on the end goal of that supplement (ie. bio-cleanse uses mag oxide vs. mag chelate b/c it's goal is to help move the bowels better). I do not take their vitamins, nor do I endorse them, because I don't like what I saw the whole MLM thing do to way too many of my friends (it literally put a division between many of us that had been friends for 10+ years). For full disclosure, I do use their older probiotic because it is what works best for my family compared to others (if I could find one elsewhere as good I would move on). That said, they are overpriced supplements and when I can find as good a quality with another brand name that's what I do (I only use the probiotic).5 -

They have an entire compliance department that hammers on their people about making claims that they can't back up with studies. In addition, the company does provide links to the studies that they actually do quote (there are only two that I'm aware of right now). The company may have gotten a letter from the FDA but the reality is, there are thousands of people using and selling it that are making those claims, not the company directly. Every supplement company in existence has this issue b/c you can't control what people taking the product say. You can caution them against it, you can provide compliance materials, you can cajole, lecture and push them - but people are going to say what they're going to say and the company can't do anything about it. Nothing from the FDA means squat until they start policing the drugs they approve first. And this opinion has less to do with plexus being warned then it does about the duplicity and idiocy of the FDA.7 -
right on their pages of products they say rev up your metabolism, lose weight, slimmer you, helps boost the bodys metabolic rate and lose fat.Support your body's natural detoxification process, etc. all false claims -heres another false claim "Promotes healthy bacteria counts and pH levels in the gut" your body manages pH level on its own you dont need some product5

How did you determine that you need to supplement these things?2
