Hmmm. Funny, my ads are Charter Communications and Choice Hotels. Wish they had a "like" button and that I could read forums from my phone/tablet.

That's because you don't understand addiction. It's like thinking a former alcoholic can have a drink once and a while. You just can't. When I sit down to a Papa Johns pizza, I eat half the pizza. It tastes so good that I can't stop eating it.

I can eat an entire pizza in on setting. But I will do that once every few months. Alcoholics won't just have one drunken night and then not drink again for months and months.

I like the taste of pizza. I am not addicted to it.

You know the ads are linked to your browsing history right? If you been on pizza company websites you will get their ads. Presumably if you look up a lot of porn you'll get their ads as well but I wouldn't know

Yes. Get AdBlock and DoNotTrackMe and stop your whining....

I do wish the reporting tool was more robust. This tool could be really phenomenal. Where you could run a report on all nutrients, not just one at a time.

Another thing I would change, is that the original calories calculator would be better. Have it more like Scooby's. Teach people what TDEE is and answer basic questions about eating back exercise calories or not. That would save so much newbie confusion!!

MFP is much less confusing for newbies than Scooby's site. It really is pretty self-explanatory, and there are stickies on the forums explaining the reasons for eating back calories. Just no one ever reads them.

I find it ironic that people don't realize that MFP can't control the ads. I find it ironic that people think they can never have pizza again for the rest of their lives. I find it ironic that people think ads are sabotage. Just stating random facts (or not facts because they are my opinion) without really considering if I am using the word ironic properly in a sentence. Carry on.

NuVet "Help Your Dog's Lumps, Bumps, and Tumors Naturally!"

Hubby and I were talking about our elderly English springer spaniel's mammary tumors. He googled "canine mammary tumors" online. FIVE MINUTES LATER I signed onto MFP and the above ad popped up on my home screen. "They sure didn't waste any time," he said.

Your browsing history dictates the adverts...

That isn't completely true. A large portion of the time, the ads relate to topic being discussed. Other times they are for completely random things.

yes, this. read a post about 'rolling' and got all sorts of ads for stuff to roll yourself with ;-) but...THERE IT IS! PIZZA AD! But I don't like Dominoes so it's ok, lol

Pizza is only evil if you make it that way. Anything in moderation is acceptable. The key is to plan for the week and not like a moment wreck a life time.

No, just how I find it ironic that junk food ads are often on MFP.
And second, clean eating is eating all good nutritous foods

    Pizza is nutritious. And good.

It depends on the pizza. Pizza is almost as a wide open a term as clean eating.

I thought this thread was asking everyone what sucks for them about MFP.
