My FitBit doesn't seem to record steps/calories like my Vivofit did.

I recently changed from a VivoSmart step tracker to a FitBit Charge 2. I installed the app on my phone and it is verified on my PC, but after hitting sync on my iPhone 6 I don't get any exercise or calories from exercise logged into myfitnesspal. What might I be doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If I understand it, the only way you will see extra calories added to MyFitnessPal is when your activity on your tracker exceeds the amount that MyFitnesPal has already determined for you. (I am not sure how MyFitnessPal determines this). I do know if you go to "settings" and "enable negative calorie adjustments", MyFItnessPal will "take away" calories when you are not active enough. I don't know if this will help answer your question!

Individual exercises from Fitbit do not transfer to MFP, this is normal. You will get only a single Fitbit Calorie Adjustment each time the two apps sync throughout the day. The adjustment does not show individual exercise estimates; instead, it calculates the total estimated daily Calorie difference at that point in time and adjusts total Calories earned or subtracted at that point in time. The adjustments will change throughout the day and the final sync will occur at 11:59 P.M.
