    "But did you die?"

    When I want to give up because it's too hard.

    Along the same lines--"what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"--used this a lot when I was training for a half marathon, and now when I go cycling with my husband.

    In other words, if I know it's something I won't keep up with, I change it until it seems more likely that I will.

    I do not accept my physical limitations as the final word, I will find a way each day to work around them to become stronger and leaner.

    1. Where I am now is a result of yesterday's decisions; what choices do I want to make today for tomorrow?
    2. Believe I can, I will do this. There is no room in my thoughts for 'what if I can't?'

    have never regretted exercising :)

    EDIT: can also be applied to eating habits, etc. "will you regret eating the cake or not eating the cake?"

    I weigh daily.

    Each morning when I awaken, I lay there contemplating that I might see a gain on the scale. I say to myself, "Get up and face the truth". And then just do it.
