Thanks for sharing. This was really interesting. I was wondering what felt different this time around. I've been on the diet yo-yo before, but this time I'm not really interested in "cheating" because I've realized that would just be cheating on myself. I think that previous times I've "dieted" it was all external motivation. I have to lose weight because others will judge me if I don't. But this time, it definitely feels more like Identified motivation, coming from internally. So before, eating in hiding as long as no one saw me made some sort of sense to me. Now, it's like... why would I do that to myself and sabotage my goals?
I understand now! It's because the times before, it was someone ELSE'S goals I was chasing!1 -
