You could just be gaining muscle29

You may be overestimating your calorie intake. Are you weighing your food3

Water weight from muscle repair or TOM?7

Nope. a female without benefit of testosterone and in a calorie deficit is not gaining muscle. Ain't happening. A couple of things. 1) you just started and your body is likely retaining water. It'll pass.
2) your deficit is too high at 2 lbs per week. Did you put on 2 lbs per week when gaining? Get a little perspective and back it down and get some patience. If you look slimmer, feel great and are getting stronger, stop focusing on the damn scale. It'll come around. Keep doing the good stuff. It'll pay off. Think about a good strength training routine like Strong Lifts. It'll make you look great whatever your weight on the scale.16 -

not in two and half weeks on 1300 calories -- and certainly not enough to offset fat loss8 -

This is normal. Weight loss doesn't work that way. You did not lose 6 lbs of fat in one week, you lost mostly temporary water weight, which is common in the first week of a diet. The next week, you regained most of the water weight, plus probably some retained water from your muscles adjusting to the workout, or from sleep variations, or a high sodium meal, or constipation, or TOM, or any of a dozen reasons. One week is too short a time to decide you are not losing weight. Give it several weeks and see how your weight loss trends over time.5

I think it's normal for your body to retain more water than normal after staring a new workout. Your muscles hold on to water to repair thrmselves or something like that?? Lol...0

You lost a bunch of water early (not 6 pounds of fat). You likely retained water from a new workout program for muscle repair - a very good thing that body normally does.
You need patience and time. And use some of that time reading these forums. Go the stickies and read about how weight loss is not linear.
You can vary to up to 5 pounds or more in a single day based on water weight. You are NOT gaining or losing that much fat in that short of time.5 -
You shouldn't use the hip abductor machines. They're dangerous because they cause wear on your actual hips and do little or nothing to improve inner or outer thigh muscle. Do lunges with dumbells or a barbell, instead. If your gym has lateral step machines, those are a better choice, too.1

How are you measuring your intake?2

i have a food scale that i use0

Then, if that's the case, keep at it! Patience.0

Sounds like water weight.
And if you're accurately recording your food intake and know you are within your calorie allowance weight loss will follow, it just takes time.. a LOT of time.
All the best.0 -

As others said - absolutely not this!!5 -
1) Be patient
2) Weigh and log everything you eat and drink
3) "Clean" foods are not a thing3
