WOW, WOW, WOW, thank you for sharing your story, it is brilliant! Well done sir.
I've only lost 49lbs but I am curious how your skin has recovered, if it's slowly tightened up at all or a lot?

First of all, "only lost 49lbs"??? That's a time-out for you! Every pound lost is victory, whether its your 49th, or your 149th. 49lbs is awesome!

As far as loose skin, yeah, it's an issue. As Robin Williams once said of the Sharpei dog, "it looks like a bag a dog used to be in" lol. Kind of the same thing here. That said, I do think it has tightened up some, and they say it can take a year or two to tighten up as much as it's going to. But I have no delusions of rocking a six-pack any time in the future. I'm pushing 50, and skin loses it's elasticity as you get older. It's unfortunate, but even if it doesnt get better over time, it was still well worth it. I didn't do this so I could pick up chicks, or get on the cover of GQ, I did it so I can live life, and live it longer!

    Wow! Congrats!

When they tell you to take it slow and easy, I keep thinking that it will take years for the weight to come back. But, you say it took only ONE year to lose 151 lbs?
It can be done with hard work and dedication....he must have really cut calories and worked out! Congrats on your achievement!

Yes, just over a year. I just set my goal at 2lb/week, and followed the MFP daily calorie goals. So I guess that averages out to about 2.8lbs/week. I started out at around 2400 calories a day, and tried not to eat back my exercise calories (or at the most, ate back half of them). Now my goal is 1280 per day, and I generally do eat back all of my exercise calories (it's hard to do under 1280!). But never starved myself by any means.

    Thanks again everyone!
