The weather is just so been so hot all month. Another 95 plus degree day. It's not supposed to be this hot for this long here in Montana!

Jinxed myself. Talk about how much I love the hot weather then overheat bigtime in 100 degree sun. Went from feeling great to feeling awful at half the power. Downed a bottle in about 15 minutes and was still crazy parched. Fortunately right about that time the skies clouded over and I was able to get back to feeling passable and limp home.

Best bike has gone in for servicing and repair.
Started creaking and at first thought it was my wonky knee! Then hoped it was my saddle but sadly it's the bottom bracket. New cassette and chain also required.
Just as well I have a spare (you can't have too many bikes after all....) as this weekend was warm but humid.
40 miler and 60 miler done but really hard to drink enough.
Bit of running around on my hybrid too, forgotten was a nice ride a hybrid is in an urban environment.

Got my bike back with lubed/adjusted bottom bracket, new chain and cassette and it's riding like new again.
Just in time for.....
Drove down to Winchester and did a cut down Audax route over part of the South Downs and Salisbury Plain. Stunning scenery, great roads and incredibly low levels of traffic. One of my best ever rides but more challenging than I expected. Only one really big hill but there was a 10 mile uphill drag and constant ups and down that broke my rhythm. 84.5 miles, 31 Strava PRs, 4472' of elevation, 5hrs 40min.

I just found this challenge tonight. I rode my stationary bike for 1 hour using 370 calories. I will monitor the miles the next time and post them. Enjoy the ride!

Had a nice ride yesterday at the lake. 8.2 miles on the road. Missed the group MTB ride tonight but did get out after work for 6.8 miles of trail
