I recently moved and my gym went from seasonal garage to full time basement.
I'm a powerlifter, so it's pretty spartan, but functional.

I'm ashamed... all I have is a fat cat laying on my yoga mat with a couple of dumbbells. Lol.33

At least its getting used3 -
I have serious plate envy.
My home gym is measly in comparison but I do use it a couple of times a week.
I also have an aerial hammock and an aerial hoop at various other locations around the house.

Ducky's pink room of pain:
I replaced the rower and bike with a concept2 and assault air bike (yes, those are jack stands holding the bar):
I quit smoking and use my non-smoking dollars saved" to fund my fitness ventures.

Nothing fancy but it does the trick

Nice equipment Duck but cluttered AF. How do you get around in there?1

It's tight. That's for sure. I'm pretty small (short and not very broad) so it works for me. Like my rower is literally in the corner up against the wall behind and to the side and I don't hit either. For someone taller/larger (broad) it probably wouldn't work out as well. I have enough space for me, but it is tight.
Although the pics don't show it well, there is about 10-12x5 ft of free floor space. 10 with the bag up, 12 with the bag down.
For a long time; I didn't have the storage racks, pegs, plate trees, etc and that stuff was ALL over. That was a disaster. If I clean up after myself, it's very workable now. Tight, but worth it to have it all to myself in my basement available 24/7.

Granted, it looks a gym you'd see on Criminal Minds... but it's all mine.

@tinkerbellang83 I see you have a mat over a wood floor - I'll be converting a bedroom with a wood floor into a workout area. While I've never dropped a weight in my life, I am concerned about the floor. However, I have chemical sensitivities and rubber mats are simply not an option and newish rubber products is why I'm not joining any of the area gyms. I have three yoga mats and am planning on using them as a just-in-case. (While they are rubber, they are quite old and so thoroughly offgassed.)
Do you use your stability ball regularly? We had them at work but all stopped using them. Meetings were fun for a while though, when we were all bouncing around, out of sync.0 -
Man. This invokes some serious gym envy.1

Soooo much envy here!
Only a partial basement here and my oldest is living in it while going to school. To make room in the garage I'd have to give up my automotive tools and woodworking equipment0 -
When we totally gutted and renoed the upstairs of our old story and a half farmhouse I knew this was the perfect spot for my gym.
Free weights, resistance bands and stability ball are stored in the little cubby to the left.
DVD and Wii hooked up to tv.
Treadmill is behind me in the pic..... gets moved in when used.
I did all the work myself from laying the flooring to installing the pine boards and trim, to the shelving and tv.
It is definitely my happy place.

@kshama2001 Mostly as a foot rest lol but I do use it for my abs work outs.0 -
The hubby set this up for me in our little NYC apartment. Not too shabby and I hope to add a few more dumbbells and maybe a bench...

Finally got around to clearing my garage out to make room for my power cage and punch bag stand.
Not overly impressive but functional with plenty of room.

Ha! Unfortunately they are only 1 inch plates so don't fit the Olympic bar!
I was just having a sort out

Here's my setup. Converted a couple bedrooms in my basement into my gym.

Impressive DL but the picture in the corner makes it look like you are pooping flowers. Or is it just me ??5 -

Thanks to everyone who posted, while our spaces may not be exactly what we want, they sure beat nothing.0

My muilti-purpose "woman cave", greatly enhanced when my trainer closed his business.
I do have a shorter bar and plates not visible in this pic. I think I got the plate rack after these were taken.

Here's what the garage portion of my home "gym" looks like. It's very cluttered but very well equipped.
The rack's in the back w/an EliteFTS safety squat bar in it and a Rogue multipurpose bar clamped on top for pullups. Deadlift station is in front. Hard to see but there are a GHD and dip station on the left. An adjustable flat/incline bench, extra bars, plates, adjustable dumbbells, belts and a sissy squat station are on the right. Couple of plyo boxes and a vest are somewhere in the pic too. Not pictured are a LeMond spin bike and Concept 2 rower in the house and a mini-crossfit set up w/a sled, tractor tire, sledge hammers and battle ropes in the backyard.
Works well for me.
BTW: There's a 2 car garage further to the right. Can only use the trap bars and set up the farmer's walk handles when I move the cars parked there to open that space up. So, that doesn't happen very often.

My home gym is actually my kid's playroom/multimedia room. The stack of dumbells next to the box of yoga mats are really plastic toys because my kids kept fighting over my 2lb pink ones. Now they "lift" with me and I don't have to argue with them when I want my 2lb weights, which to be fair doesn't happen often anymore.2

Two or three weeks ago I helped a box move and the owner gave me the surplus flooring she was going to toss. I finished installing it this morning -- I cut scraps to fit on the end of the platforms to finish off the edges.
All I need to do is place contractor hoop loop carpet on the deadlift platform and below the squat rack to make it USAPL and IPF legal.
