Not sure what's going on; I weigh daily to track fluctuations for my own need to see numbers & charts. ALL week not a single weight higher than 174.5, with a few at 173.something. Weigh-in day & I'm back up to 175. Slow & steady wins the race I guess. Slow indeed.4 -

Starting late - just got back from a three week holiday in Europe and saw a 2.5 gain on the scale, which is really not bad given the last few weeks.

I went to camp this past weekend and didn't get home until last night, so I didn't weigh myself until this morning, and I was incredibly surprised. I'm not sure if some of that is water weight, because last time I lost 3 lbs it stayed off. Maybe it has to do with how much weight I have for my age and size, so I'm losing relatively fast. Great surprise to start off the morning.9 -

I got on the scale Friday, August 11th to check in and it said 158. Ate under my calorie goal all weekend. Weighed today and I seemed to have found that 1.2lbs back. Since I've been here before I'm assuming I'm retaining water. Saturday we walked at least 6 miles and I don't usually do that. I'm assuming by Thursday I'll drop some.6 -

Hang in there! Weight loss is not linear.
Remember that the human body is a very complicated system - constantly trying to adjust itself. When you take In less calories, it thinks something is wrong and stores energy. It takes time for the body to "get" that it's not starving.
At the same time, muscles are burning energy, breaking down and rebuilding. Very complex.
Some people prefer to weigh daily and average over the week. Then you can see average trends (hopefully) going down. I have been doing this the last couple of weeks and am enjoying watching the average drop.
Weighing daily isn't for everyone. If you think can mentally take the daily fluctuations and focus on the last 7 day average instead, you might want to give it a try.
