Here is where it believe everyone is getting concerned - they believe we do not have "toxins" to "cleanse" but doing a juice fast I believe has some benefits... not to cleanse but to re set your body.
Here are the keys that are important - think of it like an elimination diet, you are eliminating everything from your intestines and stomach. You are slowly re introducing foods back into your diet (like feeding a new baby) test out how you feel after eating things. You are more easily able to see how foods make you feel because you are starting fresh. You can gauge how specific foods make you feel and make permanent adjustments to your diet. Without re introducing slowly and without removing foods that don't make you feel good, there is no point.7 -

Juice goes through your stomach and intestines. The only nourishment that bypasses your GI tract is TPN which is administered through a pic or central line directly into your blood stream.
If you are having digestive problems you should see a GI or allergist depending on the cause and do an actual medically supervised elimination diet with the help of a RD such as Low FODMAPS. Those diets actually have scientific backing on what they eliminate and how they introduce things back. Juice cleanses are not a proper elimination diet.
As well, elimination diets and juice fasts do not reset your body.5
