Hello everyone! I'm glad to be back on MFP after slacking for a few years.
I'm a 31 yo female, 5'3". My starting weight was 160 and my initial goal is 135. As my fellow short ladies know, 1 pound on our bodies looks a lot different than it does on tall people! I'm looking to be pals with other ladies who have similar stats to motivate and inspire each other.
I'd love to hear your stories and share in celebrating your progress!

I am shorty too! 35 and 5'3 I'm around 189 so yes all this added weight!!!6

On the plus side shorter athletes have an awesome mechanical advantage when it comes to lifting!18

Hi I am 5"1 weighing in at 129, aiming to lose 10lbs. You're so right about us not carrying weight very well, I have a very petite frame so really can't afford all this body fat4

4"11 and omg this weight i cannot lose after almost two years of giving birth. Statistics say for my height i should be 98-110 I'm currently 226. I cant even imagine being that small. My smallest was 170. My goal is 150.6

I'm 5'1" and naturally have a petite frame. I have a slower metabolism and am prone to be skinny fat due to years of "binging-restricting " cycle. My upper body looks normal but my thighs, butt and lower abs are disaster2

Hey! I'm 5'3". Started at 205. Currently at 195. Lowest I've been in my adult life was 168 and I'm on my way back there now. My goal is 145 feel free to add me!9

I guess I'm on the cusp being 5'4" but after 4 kids and having no torso 150 is rather bulky looking2

Hi everyone, I'm 5'2" and about 160lbs as well (I'm from New Zealand so am not very used to imperial measurements!). Hoping to lose 10kg (about 22 pounds?) to start with and then start working on building muscle. Trying not to focus on the scale, but rather how my body is changing in shape!2

Hey I'm 5ft 2" and my starting weight was 145lbs. I am down to 130.5lbs (+/- the same pound at the moment! ). My goal weight is 117lbs. Good luck to you all5

5"2 here and currently about 126lbs! Mostly focused on getting stronger, toning my muscles and being able to run 5k.
In terms of weight, I hope to get back to my pre-university weight of 110lbs haha.

A real shortie here at 4'9" and I am 59 y/o. Starting weight 168 and ultimate goal is 115, but intermediate goal is 130. I was doing boot camp but totally blew out my shoulder and so I am in rehab and have to look toward cardio and diet for weight loss. Working the MFP diet but have adjusted my percentages toward a lower carb intake. Also, I have Cushing's Disease which caused me to have a tumor and most of my pituitary removed. I basically have no metabolism! Add this shortie, please!2

I'm 5'2 and went from 158 to 2011 in 2 years. I went back to school, work FT, have two little boys, and run my household since hubby travels a lot for work. The stress of juggling my schedule took a toll on me and I went straight to the comfortable and soothing feeling of delicious and fatty foods. Now I am retraining myself to lead a healthier lifestyle! Rock on ladies...we can do this!! Feel free to add me and send me updates of your progress. I'm rooting for you!4
