My "kryptonite" is not food ... specifically. I'm just not that interested in specific foods.

Where I have difficulty losing or maintaining my weight is when I'm right into training for, and participating in, long distance cycling events. I find it extremely challenging to balance the large calorie expenditure with eating enough to provide me with fuel, but not enough to cause me to gain weight.

I'm having that very issue. I take long mtn bike rides on technical single track and there is no way I can eat the necessary calories. I feel your angst!

Pumpkin spice anything... except for soda, that's a non starter.
  • It's not so much one food group as it is what I call the Deadly Trio....late night, stress, plus easy to eat. This is why I work really hard to go to bed on time, cause otherwise I WILL eat, and I may just eat 100 extra or 450 extra, and I don't know what it will be. It depends on what's available.

Naturally a raw vegan chef who loves what I create with lots of nuts, seeds, avocado.....too yummy. If I could continue to consume these foods without the consequences of high fat...I'd be right there. The good news is I'm lovin' the food I"m currently consuming. I never feel deprived....high energy food with high nutritional density....just minus the high fat (small amounts- 10% total fat- in my daily homemade dressing/salad..).

Except fat and if you get unsalted. I like the natural unsweetened kinds. Nothing but peanuts !

Mostly anything vanilla cream filled- chocate, pastries, doughnuts. Its not the cake/ pastry itself- just the filling. Cake frosting, and chocolate cream.

Gummy bears. Somesayers say we crave the things we're actually allergic to. I am allergic to corn syrup. Been that way since day one. I lurve gummy bears. The texture, everything about them. I could live on them and once upon a time, I did. That's how I ate it all back the first go around. It was a gummy bear lollapalooza frenzy.

Bread. Any bread. Can handle other wheat treats occasionally - with just the slightest pangs for a few days - but bread just sends me off the rails.

@lauriekallis Mmm, hmm. I could live on bread, too. Bread and butter with gummy bears for dessert.
