Hi everyone, new to mfp. There's no category for hooping on the app just wondering if anyone else does it and how you input it please? Tia

    I put it in as Cardio, then name it Hula Hoop

    My fit bit counts it as steps which equals out to be just under how many calories are burned each minute. I think it's average 7 per minute but my fit bit gives me 3 to 5 depending on heart rate so I use that in case it's over estimating

    A few years ago I taught an hour-long hooping class, and one of the ladies was wearing a fitness wristband that counted calories burned... it said 600 calories at the end of the hour. I usually estimate a bit less under Cardio, just to be conservative in my count.

    Considering that running for most people will burn between 500-700 an hour, I'm a little skeptical about hula hooping burning 600 per hour. Granted I haven't seen anybody do hula hooping in 25+ years, so I really have no idea how hard people usually hoop.
