Well since I haven't traveled outside the country, my opinion might be a bit biased.

But we did invent peanut butter cups and Coca-cola so... I believe that speaks for itself.

I heard that Americans cut the fat off of their meat, cover it in gravy and feed it to their kids.

Science isn't in the bible. I do only what the bible tells me.

I would say that we Americans are very narrow minded when it comes to what we think tastes good...

Screw the grill! Slow cook in an oven at 60C, then finish off with a blowtorch.

I could eat a plate of just gristle from steaks hit with a blowtorch.

Try it, then tell me that. Yeah it takes hours but on the other hand you don't have to keep an eye on it at all. Stop the meat when it hits 55c

There are enzymes that break down above those temps that tenderize the meat, and keeping the temp low keeps proteins from twisting up and forcing out moisture.

Give it a go just once and you'll never go back!

Someone from Aichi Prefecture in Japan. I'm not sure if that's the proper demonym, though, or if there even is one. I specify because it seemed like there was better food when I lived in Shiga Prefecture.

It's a country with some of the best food in the world, some of my favourite restaurants, where wonderful meals are made with great ingredients, but a country in which some people still choose to buy cheese in a spray can. The mind boggles.
