    If they don't then all that time spent watching Degrassi Junior High as a kid gave me false hopes. (CBC was the only channel we could get on our circa 1980 satellite dish.) It also means that I wasted all those hours learning to sing like Brad Roberts. Dammit!

    I didn't believe in Canadians for many years, but then my brother and his family moved to Canada. They come back to Southern California every summer to visit; they just left on Saturday. They are pale and say "eh" a lot. I *have* to believe now, dammit.

    I tend to have the "just in case" belief system, it works well in other facets of my life (hey do you believe in aliens? religion?)....that "just in case" they really do exist, I believed in them all along \m/

    The only episode of that show I've ever seen, and the only reason I get that reference. Anyways, OP, I spent quite a bit of time up in Maine, and I met some of these Canadians, and eh, yes, they do exist

    Everyone knows that every single American wants to be Irish. Unfortunately they will never truely know how amazing it is to be Irish.
