SoulRadiation wrote: »This is a gum arabic print created from the charcoal drawing above. It's an interesting process. You take a photocopy (like a regular photocopy) of something. There's something about the toner which has a chemical reaction/entanglement...something...with this stuff gum arabic which you treat the resulting printed photocopy.
That, then becomes a template which you can roll with ink. You then get a sponge and scrub away the ink...and you can do interesting little flourishes and just do interesting things in how you remove the ink.
That then becomes a ONE TIME template for a printmaking process...it (the printing template) will get ruined when you run it through a press like you would use to press a wood cut.
I wish I had regular access to one of those presses...they're kind of big and expensive, and tbh...the chemicals you use like Varsol and so on to clean up are pretty harsh on your body and mind so eh...German printmaker like Munch and all those people where crazy.
Probably had brain damage tbh...
lol...we all got accidentally high one day in class we forgot to open the windows.
brb 100,000 brain cells gone.

You've got a picture in your profile that you need to send to me so I can draw you again. The one with the finger over your lips. If you've still got my email send it across.
One I finished tonight
Looks a bit like Elizabeth Taylor in the drawing0 -

Love the artwork on here. So glad I have found this group. Some of my work from Learning to draw books. I love to copy and draw using fineliners, graphite and coloured pencils.2

One on the left is the officially licensed product and the one on the right is the one I crocheted a few years back.

Unlike the amazing artists on this thread, I can't draw very well but do love just messing with colors in more abstract forms-this was done with alcohol inks9 -

Absolutely love the way you have completed this drawing. Love the colours and the composition of the flowers. Inspiring work. I must admit I have never heard of alcohol inks.

This is the Inktober 2017 sketch for the day. The prompt was Swift, which automatically reminded me of the move most of the Eeveelutions in Pokemon use.
