Is it necessary to eat every 2 or 3 hours for weighg loss..my nuyritionist say if u dont eat every 2 or 3 hours...body forms gas and bloating...is it true

Purely personal preference.
Perhaps she is talking about you specifically getting that problem, because that's not true at all in general.
I don't eat all day until 8-11 pm after exercise - no gas or bloating for me.
Unless I eat a carb heavy or only meal or snack. Then yes.
I do have a little problem with carbs, or rather my insulin response does - eating every 2-3 hrs would be a great way for me to be in a tired state all day long, I'll say that.
You might look up the degrees they have, and if recent.3 -

I only eat when i get hungry. A 300 - 400 cal meal last me about 5- 6 hours until im hungry again.1 -
Where did your nutritionist get their qualification? That's a new one...5

Every one? I know it's an iffy profession but I doubt the bad advice could be that consistent.22 -
Necessary? Absolutely not. The whole 2-3 hours of eating thing basically started with bodybuilders to either: eat several times a day to gain mass or eat several SMALL meals a day during contest to keep from getting too hungry while they dieted.
Most nutritionists just echo what they hear in a gym and not really what is actually studied in a college or university under physiology, biology or even basic nutrition.

So i eat only 2 times a day so shal i have 600 calorie meal whivh is toi much to digest
That would mean your intake is only 1200 calories which is likely too low. 600 calories is not too much to digest at all... You can make a small meal that would be more than that!
You can eat as often or as infrequently as you like. Don't do something because an ill-informed "nutritionist" told you to, do what works for you.11 -
I eat when I am hungry. Depending on what I have eaten I could go many hours before I feel hungry again.4

I've lost 80 lbs and kept it off 17 months and counting, and I eat 70% of my calories in a meal an hour before bed.
Eat whenever it makes you happy, so long as you stick to your calorie limit.

Short answer is no. As said in a previous reply, eatting smaller meals every few hours is to mainly prevent hunger from kicking in and throwing your diet out a window.
Eat when you're hungry is the way to go, just watch your portion size and make sure your meals are full of the nutrients the body needs to function.
High protein food along with great complex carbs are the best way to keep the hunger away.
Though on another note, hunger CAN make the body bloat and gassy. The reason it doesn't happen when sleeping is because your metabolism slows right down and the body simply doesn't need that much energy.
So in conclusion...eat when you're hungry.4 -
It is not necessary, but I think it really depends on your own hunger cues. I eat frequently, smaller meals, because I like it that way and it keeps me from being overly hungry.2

For weight loss you just need a calorie deficit. Meal timing is personal preference and has little to do with gas and bloating I think.
Eating too fast can contribute to gas and bloating as you swallow air.

I've lost over 130lbs only eating, usually, twice a day. I wouldn't be taking advice from them anymore if I was you. Their information is completely inaccurate.4

Nope. 35 lbs lost and maintained for 1.5 years while fasting for about 16 hours every day and eating 2 meals a day.1

For some with sugar absorption issues or a need to control blood sugar levels may find eating at 2 to 3 hour intervals helpful but if you are like the majority on here, fit and healthy, there is no definite benefit. I would consider the production of gas to be down to inadequate digestion, the stomach not emptying fully between meals, in some of us insufficient digestive microbes to breakdown foods, slow transit could also encourage gas in some subjects too, this can lead to reduced digestive enzymes, this would be much less common cause.
Need2exercise raises a good point, some of us will benefit from a daily fast. Generally our bodies do benefit from our taking breaks from eating particularly if one has a grazing habit, so the elimination of the by-products of life can happen easily giving the liver and other organs the opportunity to recover between days. Most of us will easily manage 10 possibly 12 hours fast a day having breakfast and supper, our start and end to the day well spaced. Many will consider this idea woo.
It is often said our lives are very different to those of our ancestors. I raise this here because with the advent of electricity we are able to rise earlier on our dark winter days and stay up much later too providing more opportunity for us to eat. We as a species are so very far removed from our and the worlds natural cycles. The study of tribal cultures who have maintained their historic dietary patters is showing none of our modern readily accepted health issues.8 -
I eat and snack whenever I am hungry I just keep it within my calories for the day that is all you need to do to lose weight.3

Exercise is NOT for weight loss, it is for heart health and body transformation.
Reread that several times if needed. Weight gain is usually it's side effect.
Diet is for weight loss - done right hopefully just fat loss, done wrong you can include some muscle loss in there - and that will suck sooner and later.
The sooner you get that right, the sooner you won't make bad decisions based on a wrong premise.
And your 1200 diet goal, probably is for average sedentary woman.

It has nothing to do with optimizing digestion or extra calorie burn or whatever, it's just what keeps me full and under calories for the day. The human digestive system is actually pretty awesome - sure, it can get thrown off by all sorts of things, but it can also adapt to all sorts of things.9

Don't be embarrassed - it's what works for you.
Now - you come out spouting advice that it's required for weight loss, with no comment or background as to why it actually works for you better - then prepared to be slammed by many.8
