Been Keto for 2 months now and have lost 30 pounds but I'd love to have some friends who are enjoying the same woe. This has been the best thing that's happened to me and I want to rally with anyone else on the same path.

I do total carbs and not net. So I do 20 total carbs a day and add fat to EVERYTHING! Bacon grease, coconut oil, olive oil, etc....Got to really watch your sugars and the types you use. Leanne Vogul on YouTube is a wealth of information.

I'm starting my 3rd week of KETO, still trying to get the right combination of foods in to ensure I am hitting all 3 of my goals Carb, Fat and Protein. Also watching my calories. I am stalled now since week 1 where I lost 5 pounds, and cant seem to move the needle again. This week I am increasing my water, and adding fat bombs. But I like the idea of just finding a way to add fat to everything I eat. Also looking for friends on the same path!

Here's a little tip for all of you... you don't need to add fat to everything that you eat if you are trying to lose weight. The reason is that your body has fat stores and will use the fat stores to make up any extra fat that you might need to burn.

I find that fat helps me feel satiated, so I rather enjoy eating this way, but I do not go out of my way to eat more fat - my general rule is to eat my limited carbs and hit my protein goal and then add fats until I feel sated. I know that I am eating enough fat and protein when I do not get the 'hangries' during the day.

    I do keto this way:
carbs - my daily carb number is a limit, do not go over this number (my limit is 30 grams)
protein - this is a minimum amount that I eat - going over this number is not a problem (my target is 100 - 120 grams a day)
fat - this is a suggestion - you need a minimum amount of fat a day to process certain vitamins and for hormonal health, but you do not need to pad your numbers and reach a certain amount of fat per day. I eat fatty meats, butter and heavy cream daily, but i have NEVER eaten fat simply to meet an arbitrary number of 'grams of fat' per day.
