Information on weight loss for women

Hello,
My wife and I have transitioned our life to eating healthy and getting back in shape. The problem is she is struggling to lose weight even though we are eating healthy, tracking calorie intake, staying in a caloric deficit and doing our nightly walks.
I prep, cook and weigh all our food so I would like to know also if I should be doing something else to help her along the way?
I understand Men's bodies are different than Women so I'm looking for any links or sites that we can read up on that may give better insight to help her along the way.
Any tips/advice?

Our (M/F) bodies don't burn calories differently. All it takes is to eat less than you burn. Simple, but not easy.4

How are you tracking your calorie intake? Are you weighing all your food? and How long have you been calorie counting?
Chances are you have a much higher TDEE and have a lot larger margin of error than she has, she may also experience more fluctuations from hormones which may be masking her weight loss.8 -
What is her weight now? Her height? Her goal? How long have you two been counting calories? Has she lost any weight at all?3

Honestly, depending on your wife's stats, she probably just needs less food than you. While eating the same meals is fine, she would need smaller portions. Also, make sure you are accurately measuring items. You may have some flexibility in your calories, but she may have less wiggle room.
In addition, is she tracking her food or just "doing what you're doing." My guess is that you don't spend 24/7 together.. so she could be going over calories in other ways and not even realize it. My fiancee and I eat the same types of foods for meals (although I eat less), but he also eats cookies and treats at his office. When we have cashews for a snack, I have 28 grams, he has a bowl. But he also weighs about 70 pounds more than me.
Also.. does she want to lose weight? I realize that may be a strange question, but you gotta do it for you.7 -

My husband and I are both working towards getting healthier and more fit. The biggest difference between us is calories. Even though we both workout a lot I still have to eat substantially less than him. My BMR and TDEE are a lot lower than his. We calculated and his maintenance would be about 750 calories above mine so he can eat more and maintain his deficit. I'm closer to goal too so my calories are lower and margin of error much smaller.5

OP, this thread might be a bit helpful. The general mechanics of weight loss are the same for both sexes but women's hormones can affect the process overall.
