New here...any low carb people?

I'm new to the fitness pal app, encouraged to give it a try (again...last time I pretty much just looked around but did not really use it) by my adult daughter. She's been using it for over 3 months and losing weight without feeling too deprived. Two years ago I did low carb (Suzanne Somers diet) and lost about 30 pounds in 3 months but stopped doing it (got tired of the "same old foods", plus lots of protein is more costly) and have since gained that and more back. I need to lose a lot of weight, so I'm hoping there are some people who can advise on low carb/higher protein and maybe even some meal suggestions, recipes to try, etc. I'm not a huge veggie eater (lettuce, green beans, broccoli, celery, tomatoes and sometimes carrots are about all I like), so that's always been an issue. Any advice or support would be appreciated. Thank you! :)

Hi there, I'm doing lowish carbs, and higher protein. About 40% and 30% is about all I've managed so far, but soon I hope to get higher protein with smoothies and some protein powder. This will also help me get my veggies and fiber. You'd be amazed how easy spinach or kale goes down mixed with berries and mangos. Pop in some hemp protein (which is also high in fiber) and my nutrient mix is pretty darn good without depriving myself much at other times.

Let me know if there's any particular problem you're trying to solve.

I've lost weight doing low carb before and gained it back (also) when I started eating carbs again. This time I'm using a different approach. All foods in moderation. This is an approach I can do forever.
