9/30 - 259.8 - Went grocery shopping last night. Got more veggies and no junk food. Let's see if I can survive the week! Last week I didn't buy any candy and after a few days, I wasn't craving it as much, so I'm keeping that up!
10/1 - 259.0 - Took my middle child out for lunch and had only protein for dinner to compensate. I was really craving junk last night but did not indulge. It paid off! Today is our weekly pizza night with the in-laws, so I'm going to try really hard not to have a gain tomorrow.
10/2 - 258.6 - Woohoo! Again, I planned my day around having pizza at night and I made sure to get a few walks in and I had a loss. Not by a lot, but usually Monday mornings means a gain of ~3 pounds. I feel like I'm really starting to get into the right mindset and it's getting easier and easier to have willpower. Not easy, mind you, but easier. Looking forward to more loss tomorrow
10/3 - 259.4 - Ugh. A gain. Less than a pound, but still. I am really seeing how important it is for my body that I walk or exercise or do something after dinner. Based on the walk I took earlier in the day and my calories, I was under. But I guess I need to make sure to add a 20 minute post-dinner walk in to my routine. Also, I didn't get much sleep, which could have been a contributing factor. Either way, I'm still under 260 and I am determined NOT to break that threshold again! Tomorrow will be a loss, I can feel it in my determination already
10/4 - 259.0 - I was right, it was a loss! Not by much, but a loss is a loss. As long as it's going in the right direction, I'm happy. Last night, I walked for about 20 minutes after dinner. This really seems to be important for me. Even though dinner was 3 pieces of leftover pizza, I had my walk and I had a loss.
10/5 - 260.2 - I am so frustrated. Yesterday was a really good day for me! I was under calories (when you consider exercise). I walked over an hour, got 11K steps, walked after dinner. The only reason I can think that it was a gain instead of a loss is that I didn't sleep very well. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of control over how much sleep I get right now (still pumping breastmilk for the baby which requires me to be up at 11 every night and 5 every morning), but the past few nights I've been waking up during my sleeping hours and just have been restless/uncomfortable. Luckily, my DH lets me get as much sleep as I need on the weekends, and I really feel like that helps. It's just really discouraging to work so hard and see a gain. I don't feel like giving up, but I do hope that tomorrow brings a nice big loss to keep me motivated. Oh, and today's my appointment with the podiatrist, so hopefully I'll find out what's wrong with my foot and a solution to fix the pain!
10/6 - 260.8 - Yesterday was a bad day. And I ate poorly for dinner. Mind you, not nearly as bad as I was eating for every meal just a few weeks ago, but not as good as I have been eating lately. I suppose I should be happy I only gained .6 pounds. I just feel so discouraged. Even though I didn't do an after dinner walk, I did still complete day 5 of a 30 day challenge. So, even though I was in a funk, I am still ahead of where I was 3 weeks ago. That's a win. Can't wait to get some sleep tonight and tomorrow! Hopefully that'll turn my mood around
10/7 - 260.8 - I suppose that's better than a gain. I didn't get quite as much sleep as I was hoping to. Tonight's the night.
10/8 - 257.2 - I felt good about yesterday. Compensated for taking my oldest out for lunch. Went on a family walk (got my 10k steps), did a 20 minute Zumba video, and got a little more sleep. Tonight is our weekly pizza night. Gonna make sure to burn those calories off so I can end this round by having met my goal!
10/9 - 256.6 - Not only did I meet, but I surpassed my goal! Woo!!8 -

9/30 - 223.6 - I have to get back on the ball with working out this week.
10/1 - 224.6 - I'm just having a rough run hovering within the same pound though so I guess that's not terrible.
10/2 - 225.6 - I HAVE to get back on the ball. Two weeks with little to no exercise and spotty tracking is catching up with me. Determined to get to the gym tonight and start getting everything back on track.
10/3 - 224.2 - Heading back in the right direction. Got to the gym and stayed in calories yesterday. Renewed motivation.
10/4 - 223.6 - Looks like things are under control again. Just have to keep working at it.
10/5 - 222.6 - I guess I was holding on to a lot of water. Numbers keep going down now that I'm back to walking three miles every night and keeping my diet in check. I'm pleased.
10/6 - 222.4 - Moving in the right direction. Going to have to make sure I keep it together this weekend w/ food and exercise so I don't backslide.
10/7 - 223.2 - Ugh. Binged so hard last night. Can't even begin to figure out how much I actually ate. That's OK though because today is a new day.
10/8 - 225.6 - too many drinks and snacks last night. I was so good at this when I started and now I feel like I'm completely failing.

10/3 - 157.4 - I really love this challenge. I was skeptical about weighing every day. I've tried it before and it's never really worked for me. I would go through periods with no movement or a tick upward and I would get frustrated and go off the rails. However, this gives me accountability and support and even on Groundhog Days, a glance to the top of my post each day and taking a moment to honor my steady progress keeps me going. Thanks to all of you. I love checking in and seeing how everyone is doing each morning!

10/5 - 158.6 - Oh for goodness sake. I literally followed my food plan exactly to the oz and worked out with my trainer, so I have no clue what this business is about. I choose to focus on my new dress for a work photo shoot that looks spectacular on me.

9/30- 197.6 - I had been steady at 199.6 for several days, before I made a post in this challange last night. 197 was my goal, so I adjusted it. Happy with this loss. Calorie intake was a tad bit over yesterday. My husband made popcorn late and I had a couple handfulls.
10/1- 199 - First day since I've started a couple weeks ago that my weight has gone up a significant amount. I know why. I ate like cheap yesterday. Homecoming shopping with my son, stopped at McDonald's and has a cheese burger, then after we dropped them off we had pizza, and I had way more than I should have. Today is a new day. Moving forward.
10/2 -199.6- Wrong direction! I ate under my goal yesterday, and increased my water intake. I think I might need to increase my fiber. Going to buy bran flakes today. Also thinking perhaps my 197.6 reading from earlier this week was a fluke.
10/3 -198- That is a better direction. Yesterday was a good day. Was under my calorie goal, increased the water. Haven't gotten to the store for more fiber rich foods, I will do that soon.
10/4- 197.4- Woohoo! I stepped on the scale 3 times to be sure. Added more fiber, ate under calories & sodium. Dinner out yesterday, but still had plenty of calories left and made wise choices. (Salad bar, veggie soup, & fruit). Glad my husband chose that place, because my head was spinning about what is order at the other places her was naming.
10/5- 196.2 - No idea how that is possible, but I Checked 3 times. I'll take it! Was under calories yesterday.
10/6-195.4- Double checked. I'm still only a couple weeks into this, so that could be why it's coming off so fast, or the fiber increase, or water weight from lower sodium. Either way I'll take it and am happy. Ate way under calories yesterday. It wasn't intentional, I just didn't have a lot of time.
10/7-196.0- This was expected. Ate fast food last night and went for the fries. Over calories for the day, but not over maintenance. It should balance out for the week, still fast food was a bad choice.
10/8-196.4- Over calories by 200 or so, but I couldn't calculate it, still under maintenance. Need to increase water today and try to flush out those weekend mistakes!
10/9-196.0- Over all a good day yesterday. I didn't make it to my goal for this challenge, but I did make it to the Goal I had originally set, and I'm happy with that. Total loss 1.6 lbs! Hope to see the 195's in the near future.8 -

9/30 - 176.4. Nice drop! Yesterday I ate super clean and made sure to get my water in. I've had a cold, so I've hardly moved, though. I'm hoping to get a walk or hike in today. This is my first full 10 day challenge and I'm excited to be involved.
10/1 - 177.2 I ate clean again yesterday and went on a hike. I'm recovering from a cold, so I turned around sooner than I'd planned, but I still did 3 miles and managed over 11,000 steps for the day. I've started ignoring MFPs calories and going off my Fitbit. MFP routinely gives me almost 300 calories more than my fitbit says I should eat, so I'll play around with this and see what happens. I had 2 NSVs victory - 1) I made a vegetarian dinner and really enjoyed it, and 2) I realized my weight would likely pop up today, and when it did, I didn't feel discouraged. This challenge is already helping me, thank you! Today I'm smoking tri-tips for dinner; portions may be an issue because they are delish!
10/2 - 177. Yay! I'm surprised after a nice dinner with wine last night, but my calories were spot on.
10/3 - 176.2. I was actually pretty hungry yesterday but tamed it with healthy foods.
10/4 - 176.2. Nothing major to report. Ate well, calories on target, and managed to go on a walk.
10/5 - 177. My calories have been good, this is a normal daily fluctuation, I think. I had a little wine last night and not enough water yesterday.
10/6 - 178. This literally makes no sense at all. Except our weight fluctuates daily. Right?!? Perhaps I didn't drink enough water yesterday, but everything else was spot on.
10/7 - 177.4. Polished off a bottle of wine with hubby last night and I was expecting this number to be higher. It's starting to look like I won't hit 176 this round. We have Chinese food somewhere in our weekend and I imagine just the sodium will keep me from dropping, even if my calories are good. But, we shall see.
10/8 - 180.4. All I have to say is "Chinese food." my calories weren't even too horrible yesterday.
10/9 - 180.2. I know this isn't fat. I know I didn't gain any actual weight from one meal. I also know that one meal didn't undo all the miles I walked last week or the fact that I'd eaten at/under my calorie goal for 9 of the 10 days. But to end my first full round higher than I started, when I'd been diligent about staying under calories and exercising... Sucks.7 -

So I'll see tomorrow if this lasts. Right now though...it's a great start to a Sunday!
10/9 182.8 I knew it was a fluke yesterday...However, I've lost 2.6 pounds in this round. So, that's wonderful. This keeps me accountable so I'll be in for the next rounds also.

Round 18 ends on Canadian Thanksgiving...so to be honest I'll be thrilled if I can keep it under 150 at the end of the round
9/30 - 148.8 - I feel super crappy today...headache, scratchy throat, ache everywhere...we'll see how the day goes, if I feel like eating it will probably be comfort food but I'll try to be good. I had a long trail run planned this morning but that's out the window now...my dog is super disappointed LOL
10/1 - 149.0 - Woke up feeling no better today...if not worse. Ate hardly anything yesterday but also hardly moved, I'm so stiff and achey. Not going to worry about the weight too much until I feel better, my body is going to hold onto stuff as it kicks this bug to the curb.
10/2 - 149.0 - Diagnosis in...Strep infection. Lets see what this prescription does to my body besides kill the germies...
10/3 - 148.0 - Amazing how quickly antibiotics start to work. Feeling significantly better but still pretty weak and run down. I thing I sweated out a pound of water over night though while the fever broke...I was drenched!!
10/4 - 147.2 - that's what happens when you hardly eat anything for almost 4 days. Feeling so much better this morning and I seem to have my appetite back so we'll see if I can make this stick as my bod wants to re-fuel and repair.
10/5 - 147.4 - Feeling well enough to get in to work for a client today...mostly a planning day so nothing too physical. Hope I'm feeling up to a few hikes/runs on the trails this weekend to ward off the Thanksgiving pounds...
10/6 - 146.8 - Surprised but pleased. We went out for dinner after "Meet the Teacher" at school last evening. Ate more than I should have but probably kept total in somewhere around maintenance. Looking forward to a Yummy Thanksgiving weekend.

10/3 108.8 lbs What! So I have been limiting exercise to lose weight (yes that's right). Exercise increases my appetite. This week I am adding back lifting weights (which I love). The gain is not muscle (not yet) but more likely the water needed to increase my glycogen stores. My Calorie intake past 5 days = 1630. I should be able to recover if I stay consistent. Right?

10/8 107 - 1500 Calories: getting close to the end of this 10 day series and not meeting initial goal of < 106.5. Reviewed my year and can see a pattern of losing 1 lb and holding for 2 months and repeating. With an initial goal of 105 lbs by the end of this year, I'm right on track (if I stay the course). Still would be nice to end this series at 106.4
10/9 107 lbs yep - increased the exercise so kinda expecting it but was hoping that since Calories were controlled I could lose fat while gaining muscle and it's friends (glycogen and water). That's okay. At least I have more practice keeping Calories close to 1500!6 -

10/2 - 215.2. I expect weight to go down a couple pounds tomorrow, as I took this first weight after I ate a meal rather than in the morning like I usually do. :-) Hard day today, though - mild allergic reaction early in the day, and that always tends to make me space and flake out on my diet the rest of the day. :-/ Hoping that having this little challenge might help kickstart my brain into paying attention!
10/3 - 213.6 Allergic reaction still going on today. I'm using my recording of today's weight to remind myself not to flake on the diet like I did yesterday, and to try to keep things going well. And thoughts are with those from Puerto Rico, TX, Fl, and Las Vegas, or who have loved ones who were, or still are, there.
10/4 - 213.4 - Feeling hopeful, as this is the end of the day weight and yesterday was weighed before eating, so I feel like I’ve probably lost a bit more. I am feeling really hopeful right now about doing this. First time doing it, and today I totally screwed up on eating and calories. Still having feeling crummy during much of the day, totally didn’t pay attention to calories, and when I entered them in, I was really feeling low. But thinking of this challenge, and how much I wanted to do well in it, I got up and exercised away a lot of the excess calories. Usually my motivation is not enough to do that, so I’m feeling pretty great about it.

10/5 - 177.3 - It's interesting to watch the pattern here. Yesterday was pizza for dinner which of course means salt. I'm not surprised to see the number rise. The last couple of days I have done a lot of walking, 3-4 miles a day, so I wonder if my muscles are holding onto some water too. Time will tell!

10/7 - 178 - Well, that is just out there. Can't think of a reason for this to be so high. I stayed within calories and ate well. Hoping it's a last ditch effort by my body to keep my weight the same and that there's a whoosh tomorrow.

10/5 - 192.9 Chipping away at the fluid and the weight. Bought ice cream yesterday because I went for a tooth cleaning and we all deserve something after that. Then I did not eat any ice cream because I liked where I was calorie wise for the day, and I was not hungry. WIN!

I am in! So far I have lost 58 pounds, gained 14 back. Since June of 2016. I haven't given up yet, just finding it hard to stay on track. Hoping this will help keep me accountable.

10/5 205.8 Had a bad day yesterday, was exhausted so slept half the day and ate all the salty food. Also forgot the meds, so some gain from that.
10/6 205.4 Did pretty good, Made it through pizza, did some roller skating. Awesome calorie burn. Was so busy didn’t have time for snacking at night. Just at work.

10/2 156.5 Another tragedy in Las Vegas. Saturday night 4 teens walking on the sidewalk were mowed down by a car passing where there was no lane. Now at 59 dead and 527 injured on The Strip. Pray for Las Vegas.
10/3 157 I did not stress eat although I was pretty upset all day. DH reminded me that I wanted a Greek salad so I did not have to deal with fixing leftovers. Went to my fave Greek place, ate half of my salad w/gyro meat and 1/4 pita. Did not drink even half of my Daily water!
10/4 156.5 Played 2 games of bocce last night with DH, BFF, and her man-friend. Gentle activity but activity all the same!

10/8 155.5 I had the best and biggest "side salad" ever yesterday. I asked for that instead of fries and one of the other starchy sides. Beautiful, crisp, dark green lettuce, fresh red bell pepper strips, cool cucumber, and ripe red tomato slices. The pulled pork was "pre-sauced" so I got some sugar there but I left the bun on the plate. I didn't sleep worth beans last night! We'll see the final impact tomorrow or Tuesday but I feel great!!
10/9 155! Whoo hoo! Ready to start a new round! My macros were right on yesterday, calories over, not sure I drank enough water, and hardly moved at all. All that may come back to bite me in the butt! But I'm ready!!
@rtls Try going over your calories one day a week. I know back a decade or so there was a non-official "plan" on doing WW and changing up your points because your body gets used to the same thing all the time. Also, they stress eating ALL of your points, not eating below. Just a thought.
@SheilaBoneham I have requested one of your books from the library. Should have it in a few days. I love animals and mysteries!

Yay, I lost 4.6 lbs this round. I suspect part of this loss is really some of the last round but the few days (maybe even week) before TOM I was retaining a lot of water weight. I am so happy to see my weight loss progress.

10/02 - 161.4 > 3 day weekend of camping fun... Maybe too much fun. Lots of long walks but maybe too many hot dogs and bacon. I'm pretty sure I'll be back on target again in the next few days.
10/03 - 160.2 I'm going to be a Nana today to a sweet baby girl!!
10/04 - 159.7 15,000+ steps, ate well but did have a small piece of cheesecake. SO got a call to go back to work this weekend but it may be just a few days. Haven't seen the baby yet but they are all doing well.
10/05 - 157.6. Ok back on track. 18,000+ Steps And hit calorie goals. Get to see the baby tonight so I’m trading in my step count for snuggles.
10/06 - 159.4 Baby snuggles, low step count, and pizza for dinner and SO leaving for undetermind amout of time all contributed to the number. Baby is so tiny. Happy Nana here!! Weekend here soon goals to get lots of steps in and go for a run.

10/09 - 160.8 Here I am bouncing all over the place. Very tired these last few days not getting near enough sleep, my eyes are so puffy. Went on a hike with one of my boys it was a beautiful day with great ocean views. Nice long talk with my 20 yr old about life, plans, goals etc.... He's a good kid. Holiday dinner ate way too much and my tummy was suffering, I think I need to practice slower eating and pay more attention to my stomach on holidays, and the pre dinner hike was a fabulous idea!! 10/7--223.5 Ok, back to normal. Today I am going to stay hydrated. I decided that on the weekends I would fill up a 1 gallon container with water in the morning, sit it on my kitchen counter, I don't like cold water, and make sure I drink the container throughout the day. Let's see if this works.
10/8--224.8 My poor body, still trying to get back to balance after barely eating and drinking for 2 days and recovering from a cold. I definitely drank more water yesterday than usual and today I've already finished W2D1 of C25K and my 1 hour tennis lesson.

I literally have no clue what happened. It's not my TOM. I guess it's just a random fluctuation. Didn't eat super well yesterday because I got some bad story reviews (self medicating I guess). Maybe that plus stress was it.

Stayed within calorie count and ate healthier, which definitely helped. Still a little stressed but it will get better. Started writing again today even though I didn't want to.

I slept in this AM until 11. My hives are gone. I think those past few days of weight gain were stress related. I stood up in front of the group and read an excerpt from my piece out loud (the one that was getting bad reviews) and got my formal review today and it was approved! So I'm exhausted today and literally that is the only thing I can think of to explain the funky fluctuation in my weight.

Up, down, up down... I've been way too hungry at 1500, so I've bumped my calorie goal back up to ~1700. I've been maintaining @ 1800-1900 for 6 months, so I should slowly lose at 1600-1700. I don't care about speed, as long as I'm moving in the right direction. And I'm not hangry!

The scale isn't showing much, but something's happening. Yesterday I noticed that my pants looked baggy in pics my hubby took of me and my friend and her dogs -the belly looked especially "poochy." So I tried on the next size smaller, and voila! Comfy and look better. I wore the smaller ones before I did the metabolism reset, so I seem to be getting back to where I was when I started that almost a year ago. That's better than weight!

Progress! Maybe I've said faretheewell to the 51s. Today's plan - long walk and drink LOTS of water -- we went out for breakfast and I had French toast, bacon, 1 egg, so to counteract the sodium, I'm thinking gallons. ;-) Walking to the mall to get my hair cut, backpacking to Starbucks to write this afternoon.... Salad + salmon for late lunch, I think, and some fruit. I can still hit my calorie & macro goals.

132.6 lbs (9/27) lowest weight during this weight loss progress. But it’s been going up and down 1.5 lbs for a couple of days sadly. Need to see the 120’s again so bad! Seems so close... yet so far!!
9/30 - 133.4 lbs. Darn sodium. Did cardio for an hr. Felt like a cold is oncoming with severe headache. Ate dinner later than I usually do. Also ate a little over my goal but stayed within maintenance.
10/1 - 133.4 lbs. Did not workout because I was exhausted, so called it a rest day.
10/2 - 132.4 lbs. Yay! Finally a tiny bit of progress! It’s not much but I’ll take it. It is getting tiring, hovering over the same couple of lbs for more than a week now. I need to make sure I stop eating by 8 pm every night and get more protein. Plan is to workout today. Eating out for lunch, so will be ordering something healthy.
10/3 - 132.8 lbs. ugh!! There’s that sodium from the lunch yesterday I suppose. I had chicken and vegetables at a Thai place :-/ oh well. Stayed at a deficit with calories. Walked an hr. Yesterday, instead of the usual stationary bike. I have a cold and that is not helping my case. Really need to get on with my usual workout.
10/4 - 132 lbs. yay! Cardio for an hr. Yesterday and it was a good workout. Ate really well too. Hopefully I can keep the weight from going up anymore. We shall see.
10/5 - 131.6 lbs. An hr. of cardio and ate better Yesterday. Going out tonight so will try to make the best choices with food. Do not think will have time to work out today.. Boo! Fingers crossed that I can keep the scale from going up!!!
10/6 - 131.4 lbs. eeeeek! Ate out tonight with friends. I did get an hr. of workout in yesterday, even though I thought I wouldn’t have time. Hit my goal of loosing 2 lbs for this challenge.
10/7 - 131.2 lbs. 45 min cardio yesterday and was ok with caloric intake. Given that we went out to three different places plus dessert. But very small portions for me to stay within at least maintenance. Most likely just dehydrated from last night and not an actual loss. I’m just hoping really hard it doesn’t go up too much. Weekends are hard!!
10/8 - 131 lbs. no workout yesterday but did a lot of walking and ate healthy, stayed less than goal.
10/9 - 131 lbs. Dinner at a friend’s house yesterday and ate moderately well. No exercise yesterday either Not sleeping well at all. Not good for steadily loosing weight or to workout hope I’ll be able to workout today.
