How do you use a barometer while skiing? To know how much you've climbed when you're still in your skis, or to know when a storm is moving in?

I ask because the elevation corrections can fix your accent data after the fact if that's what your after and you want to save some money.

A barometer is real nice to have and I don't want to talk you out of one. GPS generally works pretty well for altitude but it jumps around a lot, especially in the trees. I trust it for how high up I am but not how much I've climbed because the errors just add up.

Reading a bit more and it seems it's more an issue for downhill skiing, so it may be a misplaced concern there. I don't track flights of stairs climbed (as I live in a one story house and work on the second/top floor).

But you'd be a good person to ask. How big a deal is not mounting your watch on the bike and leaving it on your wrist? It's another difference between the 735XT and 935.

Also, looking at the comparison chart, is says "no" for hunting/fishing" data for all but the 935, but I do have an app on my VAHR that shows it. Need to see if the app works on the 735.

I've never mounted my watch on my handlebars. I used to have an Edge computer sitting in my stem and it would display everything my watch could, but that bike got stolen. :frowning:

I miss having a live power readout that I can see any time, but only when doing intervals. Otherwise it's not very hard to turn my wrist sightly to see. I leave the watch on the power screen so it's showing what I want to see, I just need to rotate my wrist inward a bit.

For context, I have Enve's wing bars, so it's impossible to clamp anything to the handlebars anyway:

It's a little bit nice in a zen sorry of way not having the numbers staring me in the face.

Are you talking about the quick release kit for garmin watches, or just a handlebar mount for the actual watch?

I've used both, both are fine, there are some pros and cons to both depending on your situation.

    quick release kit -
    pros: easier, cleaner look
cons: makes the watch bulkier when wearing as a watch

    handlbar mount -
    pros: no extra watch stuff/bulk
cons: looks awkward (works just fine)
