A lot of restroom breaks! :)

I try to maintain between 60-80 ounces a day as its great for your body and helps me with over eating - Gives a sense of fullness.

I drink about a gallon of water a day normally, but I'm also pretty large.

Weight loss doesn't require drinking THAT much water, to lose weight we just need to be in calorie deficit. Staying sufficiently hydrated is all that is required. Check the colour of your pee, if its too dark a yellow then you need to drink more - hoping someone will post that pee colour chart!

I got lightheaded and peed ALOT of clear liquid. My body is happy with about 32oz of water a day...not counting foods or any coffee or tea I drink.

I drink more then a gallon a day. I also spend lots of my day in the washroom. Makes no sense to me but it helps keep water weight off. Which makes it nicer looking at the scale.

I drink 1.2 gallons of water a day. Nothing happens except I pee a lot.

I cant get up to a gallon.
I try to drink between 50-80 oz of water a day.
It's really hard for me because I just don't really drink during the day, but I can really feel the difference in my body when I don't drink enough. I retain water, I get VERY light headed when I'm working out, my skin gets dry and old looking, my pee is gross.
I don't know what the benefits of drinking a gallon a day specifically would be, but there are a lot of benefits to staying properly hydrated.

I drink about that much when it's very hot. I don't track water, but we have a water cooler and a family of 4 goes through a 20 liter bottle within less than 2 days during the hottest days of summer. My results? I'm not thirsty. I would be if I don't drink enough during a heat wave.

I drink close to a gallon a day.. I pee a lot and snack less because I don't feel hungry. But that's about it. No other "results."

I've never in my life tracked how much water I drink, but I'm sure I've drank a gallon in a day...I live at a mile high in elevation in the desert and I'm active...I drink a lot of water in the summer to stay hydrated.

I just drink to stay hydrated meaning my urine should be pale yellow...

I drink a touch less than a gallon a day just because it's available (my work provides free bottled water and bottle filling stations). I'm like a goldfish...if it's in front of me, I'll drink it.

I go to the bathroom a lot. And my skin is oh so soft.

I've never tracked my water intake but I suspect I'd have a tough time sleeping through the night.

I drink almost a gallon a day (3 40-ounce bottles). I work out a lot and Ill drink it if its in front of me, so I keep it in front of me. My body is slowly getting used to the water intake but I still go to the bathroom a LOT.

I try to differentiate between hunger and thirst so I guess that's the point.

Like others, I drink to thirst not a number, and I will drink more when it is hot.

I probably get close to a gallon when I am gardening all day in the summer, but I sweat a lot too.

Usual consumption is between 1-2 litres of water, plus a couple of cups of coffee, and maybe a couple of glasses of wine, and of course the liquid in food.

I am small and a gallon of water would be overkill and probably leave me electrolyte depleted.

    Cheers, h.

I drink approximately 64 oz of water a day sometimes more sometimes less. Then I drink another 16 - 24 ounces at least of coffee possibly T. Once in awhile a soda. 10 oz of wine a couple times a week. I'm not dehydrated and I'm not running to the bathroom nine gazillion times like I was when I tried to drink half my body weight in ounces of water. For no benefit other than to just keep running to the bathroom

That's only 16 glasses, and many of us do that most of the time. My record while tracking has been 21 glasses, but I also drink from a 20 oz glass, and only count 2 glasses for each. I once poured and drank a liter while my babysitter filled me in on my daughter's afternoon. I didn't notice until she said "Wow, thirsty?"

For a lot of people, it's unthinkable to not drink that much. Both of my children guzzle water like it's going out of style, but my husband struggles to drink 40-60, and very frequently suffers miserable dehydration symptoms. There are water reminder apps, if getting enough is a problem for you. Some think peeing more often than is convenient would mean they were getting more than they needed, but it's important for getting rid of the waste products.

Drinking a gallon a day and peeing a lot like every one else. Skin is great though and digestion is good. Once read an article called "Set you body afloat" and it always stuck with me. Little more energy too. Normally horrible at drinking water except when focused on t

I have a 30oz cup I carry with me everywhere. I drink at least 3-4 of that a day. I have been drinking this much water for as long as I can remember. I don't think there has been a time since I got pregnant my first child that I haven't regularly carried around a cup or water bottle of some kind at all times. I have worked in customer service (hotel front desk/management) for so long and talk a lot on a day to day basis so my throat dries out a lot and water has just always been a constant thing in my life. I don't go to the restroom all that much, usually once per bottle I drink

I drink at least 2L during my workouts and 300ml with every meal (3). So that's ~3L per day. I don't go overboard as I feel it's just not needed. It's also irritating having to commute to back and forth to the restroom 15 times a day.

I easily drink a gallon of water/tea a day. The days I don't I feel sluggish and then have bathroom problems the next few days. My skin is not as dry since I started drinking more.

Agreed! Aside from peeing a lot my clear dewy skin is about the only change I've noticed :)

I over hydrate/deplete electrolytes and this much is actually harmful for me .. I am short/petite..

I drink about a liter, 2 cups of coffee and eat my water through the various foods I consume daily. My summer running has me drinking a little more. This drinking gallon(s) of water for weight loss is woo. But if you love it, do it.
