Hi everyone,
I'm 5'6 female, 31 and have lost 40 lbs so far and am now technically in the "healthy" range by the american BMI chart. But I believe the healthy weight for me is lower than what's i'm at now.
Please share your goal weight, or what weight are you maintaining at.
I find that I struggle to figure out what weight feels the most comfortable for me.
Thanks so much!

You and me both! Started are 252 and at 244 wanting to get to 200 and go from there2 -
145 is my goal2

I'm 5'7" and my goal is 135-140. I started at 200 and am at 162 currently.6

After 2 LARGE kids I mean talking 9 and 10 lb babies I started at 160.....I am 5'6" i am currently down to 143, but target weight 130 or at least 13% body fat. I personally try and and not weigh myself I would rather measure. Its more acurate on body fat which is what Im trying to loose vs loosing muscle mass.5

My ultimate goal is 165, but right now I'm just taking it a decade at a time.5

I agree that shooting for a specific number on the scale is tricky. In my twenties 125-130 was a comfortable weight for me although I was a fat skinny person if you know what I mean. Now that I've gained muscle I'm guessing 140 may be what works although I won't know until I get there.3

im 5'6 1/2 43 and my goal is 140. my maintenance at the moment is around 2200 calories.Im about 173(gained 10 lbs in the last year).1

I am 5'5.5 My original goal was 136, but I have a higher body fat then the last time I was at that weight. I plan to drop to 132 and have a maintenance range while I attempt a recomp. I'm sitting at 137 right now. Almost there!6

There is a difference between "healthy" weight and "vanity" or "personal preference". "No", to the bold part. You ARE at a healthy weight, that is a FACT, not based on your opinion. You might not be at your vanity weight, but you are at a "healthy" weight as you report per BMI.
Since you're asking for everyone else's weight, perhaps you would be willing to share your weight and your personal preference goal?

Well, you can be within a healthy BMI but still overfat. Waist measurement at that point becomes more meaningful.
I am probably going to be at the upper end of my BMI range (though I am an inch shorter). I'm pretty small for my weight, will be a healthy BMI in about 10lbs time, shooting for probably another 8lbs give or take. I do subscribe to only having a vague idea and waiting until you get where you like assuming a healthy relationship with the mirror.6 -
I'm 5'7'' and my goal weight is 120. Which is, like, the lowest weight in my BMI range. I just want to see what I look like. Right now I weigh about 135. I started at 155.5

I don't really find knowing others' weights at my height to be that helpful, because it is dependent on body shape, body composition, and personal preference. I'm currently 137, aiming for 134, and I won't go lower than that because I know from experience it doesn't suit me, but for others it may be just fine.6

I was pretty happy and a size 6 in department store clothes at 155. At 150 my doctor said too thin. I am also large framed and was heavy lifting, I was in GOOD shape. Sigh.0

I'm 5'5" with a goal of 140. Started at 230 and currently sit in the 160-165 range.3

5’6 weigh 130 now, goal is to be back down to 125 with a 5 lb leeway2

5'5", used to be 5'6" (I'm old, lost some height along the way especially during cancer treatment). Goal is 120. I was there (and below: 116) last year for some months, gained a bit in maintenance, now sitting around 128, which is more fat than I need, but not crazy much. Currently running a slight deficit to lose very slowly.
Build matters. While I have wide shoulders, big head/hands/feet, and decent muscle for my age (62), I have the hips of a 14-year-old boy, and literally no breasts (bilateral mastectomies - that cancer thing).
The normal BMI range is huge for a reason. Most (not all) people will be OK somewhere in that range, but only you (and maybe your doctor) should be saying where. Where we-all land is irrelevant. I predict you'll know where you need to be as you get close, and feel it. Trust yourself.7 -
5.5 and currently 125, goal 114, but I've been saying that for ages so I guess I should call myself at goal.6
-
Hello! I am 5'6". I started at 227 and am now 179. My mini goal is 155 in normal BMI range but I suspect my final weight will be 140. I am curvy so 140 will look very thin on my frame. I haven't been that weight since freshman year old college!2

5’6”
Current 127
Goal 117 with 3 lb leeway
Gained 10 lbs a little over a year ago, apparently break up diet was the opposite for me. Now just wanting to get back to myself, and clothes for that matter.2 -
5.6. I am currently 153 lbs but my goal is to get to 140 or a bit lower than that if possible.1

It is well-known that there is much debate around the BMI charts. For one, there is no universal BMI chart, for instance you can look up BMI charts for other parts of the world and they have some drastic differences with the American one. So no, it's not a fact that I am in a healthy range.

I'm 5'5.5 and maintaining at about 137-139lbs, down from a starting weight of 185. I'm happy with that weight and wear UK size 10/ American size 6. My hips are still a bit wide for my liking (38.5 inches or so), but it's the way I'm built and I don't think I can spot reduce.1
-
I'm 40 years old, 5'6" and personally am happiest at 130-133. I've been 125 before, got a lot of 'concerned' comments and felt myself that I was too skinny. I'm currently 137-139 and really don't like that extra 7lbs.
It's all down to personal preference, hope you find and reach your goal!

I'm 5' 5.5" and I hover somewhere around 60kg (132lb). I'm lean though... American Eagle size 2 jeans, size 4 most other US bottoms, generally size 10 UK tops (British but my American trousers currently fit best!)0
-
I'm maintaining around 145 lbs. This is higher than what I used to maintain before gaining weight, but I'm older now and feel fine at this higher weight.2
-
I'm 5'7" and 29. Highest weight was around 155-160lbs. Currently at 150lbs and hoping to reach 130lbs for my wedding in May.0
-
I'm 5'6" and 43 years old. My original goal weight was 150, and I'm 6lbs away. I'd like to get closer to 145 at some point, but really no rush. It's a better running weight for me. I think I'd look too thin any lower than 145. I'd be fine being heavier if I gained some muscle. I supposed I'd have to lift heavy stuff instead of run to get there, but I'll figure it out.0
-
I'm 5'6". My starting weight was 270.8 and I am currently at 166.8. I set my goal at 145.8. When I hit this point (and probably before that) I will shift my focus from looking at my weight to BF% and recomp. That's my current plan, but I have changed my goal several times on my journey everytime I have changed my mind of what I think is possible.2
