No I try and try and just quit because I don't want my food to get cold, but I kick some serious *kitten* with a fork!

I don't understand how people eat rice with chopsticks, that looks extremely challenging
Lol, part of the reason Asians like their rice more "sticky".

heck no I couldn't use them if my life depended on it. I guess I would lose weight if I had to use them
Lol, if anything it would teach people who didn't know how to use them to eat their food slower.

Tell the truth. What do native chopstick users think when they're observing adults eating in public who are not good at eating with chopsticks?
    We're entertained when watching. :D

I do okay with them. I use them mostly for sushi and larger foods.

Rice, you lift the bowl to the mouth and use them as a shovel.

If I wasn’t so devout I’d pretend to use it like a little wand, but I’m not a heretic

Yes indeed, I am skilled with them. Sushi is one of my favorite foods. I also made sure my husband and kids are good with them. He was thankful after his first trip to China for work. : )

I was stationed in Okinawa in 1974 and 1975. If you couldn't use chopsticks when you went out to eat in town, you didn't eat. I'm a chopstick black belt.

Same in Korea, luckily the Koreans I worked with made me a quick study :) Also wife is Korean, so I still get to use them pretty often

I'm okay with them, but hold them like an American according to my Japanese friends.

I'm not terrible. Better with noodles than rice... but it's nice to know I wouldn't starve if I had to use them!
