If something is in the house, I’ll eat it till it’s gone (weirdly in my head I justify it as “I’m getting it out of the house”)

I get it. I used to start any period of dieting by binging on the junk in the pantry just to 'get rid' of it.

Red vines licorice. I developed a craving for them about a year ago, and have no clue why. 75 calories a piece. I can easily eat the whole family size bag.

For me it's the amount, way it's presented, and whether or not it can be eaten later and taste the same. Donuts go stale, and people tend to buy them by the dozen, if I get more than one I'll eat way too many of them in a short time. If I get a full size sandwich I'll want to eat the whole thing at once because the bread will get soggy if it sits too long. This happens a lot with pizza, too. So now I just make sure to order a small portion and all that anxious eating goes away.

Swedish Fish and Reese's peanut butter cups should have a surgeon general's warning on them. :+1:

Yeah Reese's are dangerous. I only buy those in a single serving.

Speaking of red light foods and single servings, I'm testing my resolve. I bought a package of little bags of fun sized peanut M & M's to see if I can moderate them. I'll try to remember to update the thread.
