How long in maintenance: I'm not sure I'd actually call it maintainance as I'm still slowly losing...set my calories higher on Sept. 25th
Maintenance weight range: 147 - 152 lbs (I may need to revise this...)

    Average for October 2017: 146.2
    Average for November 2017: 143.4

    Week of Dec 3rd: 141.8, 142.4 trend
    Week of Dec 10th 140.4, 141.9 trend
    Week of Dec 17th
    Week of Dec 24th
    Week of Dec 31st:

Successes: Didn't gain anything from last weekends festivities...but the scale keeps going down (which I need to address before I see a 13X on the scale..). I had to go shopping for sweaters this weekend because all my warm clothes from last year look like hand me downs from my Father. Temps below 30 are not good when you don't have my padding. My size 4 jeans are actually big. My parents are supposed to come to our place for Christmas. I'm pretty sure my Mother will have a field day if I lose much more.

Struggles: This week was full of struggles. I think even my successes were struggles... My BF's work schedule was all over the place, so my schedule got knocked off course. Was supposed to do dinner out Saturday, and didn't so all those calories I saved went wasted. Ate low yesterday too - even with 2 big beers while watching the first half of the Steeler Game only came up to 1500.

Today is my work Pot Luck and every year it's a huge deal. We stuff ourselves and barely get any work done. Good times. Not logging today - going to make sure every calorie I saved from the weekend gets used!

This week will be better - we'll be back to our new normal after my BF gets his schedule adjusted. After 5 years of being on the same schedule, this will take some getting used to.

Ok, back to work. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Success / struggles of the week : nothing out of ordinary, except i haven't been exercising at all due to lack of time, plus it gets dark so early now that i cannot ride on weekdays, and weekends are filled with having to do chores, shopping, catching up on things that need to be done. So frustrated with this constant chase for extra time, days and weeks go by way too fast, where is my pause button? Christmas is so close, and along with joy and happiness it brings stress for me, so trying to minimize that unwanted effect and not to overdo it with all tempting foods and desserts.

Successes/struggles: my eating hasn’t been great this week. With Christmas coming up, the meals and drinks have already started, as have the baked goods from friends. I’m still at the bottom end of my range but don’t want to mess up my diet too much.

I am just new at this and figuring out the whole maintenance thing. Not sure I have my calories set just right yet.

Success: Too many Xmas goodies at work. Am not tempted yet.
Failure: Too many Xmas goodies at home. I am tempted. I made them. I know how good they are!

I, too, have been here all year. Thanks @fidangul for keeping it going and putting up with us!

Going to visit my grandkids for Christmas. Long drive so probably won't be exercising. Any thoughts/suggestions for travel? Will be going by car. Thought of asking my husband to stop at various rest stops so I can run a mile every once in a while, lol. (10-11 hour drive)

Success / Struggles: I managed to make some good food choices while doing the weekly shop today, and I planned out a separate menu for myself. I haven't been eating very "clean" lately, and I feel off because of it. I'm supposed to be on a low FODMAPs diet for a few weeks as the doctor thinks I might have a food allergy. It is a HORRIBLE diet. If anyone has any experience with it and would like to share, please feel free. I'm in deprivation mode because of it: I want everything I'm not allowed to have! It is so much worse than following a diet to lose weight!

I have not been here all year (joined in September), but would be super sad if it didn't exist any more. I really find it helpful to put it all out there - have someone out there call me out on my crap if needed. LOL

    Thanks @fidangul for starting this!

Time it took to lose: 2 1/2 years
How long in maintenance: 9/20/16 first day of weight within maint range
    Maintenance weight range: 150-155

    Jan avg 154.3
    Feb avg 155.1
    March avg 155.9
    April avg 154.7
    May avg 155.4
June avg 155.4 (2 weeks only, gone rest of month)
    July avg 155.3
    Aug avg 155.6
    Sept avg 155.4
    Oct avg 155.2
    Nov avg 157.1

    12/4/17 156.6
    12/13/17 156.2

I struggled on my weights workout Monday, unable to do my usual reps on a few things. I don't know why, I was well rested, etc. Just one of those days I guess. I kept going. Then towards then end I was able increase the weight on my shoulder press (machine) which I haven't done in 6 months. Go figure! Just remember, whether you feel great or feel crappy, keep pushing through. Any workout is better than no workout and it's the consistency that makes the biggest difference in the long run.

Pack your own food, both for driving and at the house. Pre-weigh or bring your scale. I keep a cooler of yogurt, cheese sticks, veggies, and low-cal wrap sandwiches with me for the drive. Tic-tacs and sugar free gum or hard candy also help, as does herbal tea and decaf coffee.

As far as exercise, when possible I hit the elliptical and treadmill before we leave. If not possible, I try to keep my eating light. If I don't manage that, I remind myself that one over day won't ruin all my hard work.

Have a great time with your family!
