Is there a way of sending my daily food diary to my fitness coach?

If your coach had a MFP account and you set your diary to open or just share with friends, that would be a way for them to see it.

You could just screenshot it either on your phone/tablet or from the web version.

On the web version, go to your Diary, scroll to the bottom and click View Full Report (Printable). Choose date range and tick/untick options, click change report. Use your web browser to Save As a file and then either print the file or send.

The Report normally provides information for up to a one year period, but it has a current bug that only goes back 25 days - not sure if that affects everyone or just my account.

I believe you are describing the iMessage Food and Meal Sharing for iOS; which is not the same as printing and sending the Diary. The Android app apparently does not have that capability.

Launching with version 7.11, the MyFitnessPall app will allow iOS users running iOS 10+ to use iMessage as a means to share logged items that their friends can save or log later. Source: https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2776451-imessage-food-and-meal-sharing-faqs---ios

I just printed the report and handed it to him (when I had a trainer).
