I like to move and do stuff, but hate thinking of it as exercise. I’m looking for fun things that you do that burn calories, but you don’t necessarily think of as exercise.

I’ll start:

I like to hike, especially where there are nice views. And I enjoy skating. Both roller and ice.

    Cycling!

Also walking ... I walk to run errands or go to the Botanical gardens or to take a look at the newest cruise ship to pull into port or whatever at lunch. Doesn't feel like exercise but it does feel like a nice break from work. :)

I love kayaking - you get to chill out on the water, hand out with some amazing animals and before you know it, you've had a pretty good upper body and core workout

    Welllll . . . I log on-water rowing as exercise, but I do it 'cos it's fun. :)

Shoveling snow. Much more fun when it's sunny and mild. Sleet and sub zero days, not so fun.

Golf, but you have to walk the course. Don't have to carry but must walk.

Skiing. If I wear my Garmin when I'm doing it, it comes across here as a workout. But I don't really think of it as a workout.

Shoveling snow while it is still falling and is absorbing sound so that hushed world sound predominates. For the win! If conditions were right I’d do it every night for the fun of it!

I love being outside doing anything... yard work, gardening, walking the dog, washing the car, you name it! Give me a beautiful day and I'll find something to do with it!

You snow shovelers are a strange, strange bunch. You are all welcome to come over and shovel my driveway.

    No kidding! I hate it.

I actually kind of like it too. My problem is it usually happens at inconvenient times - running late for work, can't get into the driveway at the end of the day, that kind of thing.

Absolutely. I like shoveling snow way more now that I'm retired vs. when I was working for a living.

I like walking around towns and local shopping districts.

Also I used to take ballet as an adult. It was for fun but I quickly learned it was also a workout!

Some people wouldn't think it is fun but I enjoy hanging my clothes on the clothesline to dry.

folding laundry - same. also scrubbing bathtubs. i've got a cranky s houlder and i like the fine-control stuff that resembles the same kind of drill that you do for rehab. carrying groceries and laundry bags is good too.
