    Music has gotten me through a lot in my life.

    But, mainly I love to talk things out. Usually the ones that truly hurt or upset me are the ones that I love most in my life. Strangers or an acquaintance do not have that kind of effect on me.

    There may be instances where you have to walk away and love from a distance, but nothing has ever really come to that in my life. So, in order for me to truly feel better about the issue, I have to talk it out with them. I have to. Once calmed down, where each can talk respectfully to each other, I let them know how I feel and so do they. Therefore I don't feel unsettled and it shouldn't be brought up again.

    How do you guys keep yourselves from stewing over pointless things that have upset you?
    Do you get wasted? Take a long drive to clear your mind? Spend every dollar you have then go home and eat your feelings?
    Give me some tips!

    Sometimes I clean house with a vengance - win/win my house gets clean and I get rid of the angst.

    Other times I rant online to good friends about it. Once I kept a daily journal of the BS that went along with getting a divorce. I have not looked at it in a long time now.

    Take a walk, with some good deep cleansing breaths.

    Play some mindless online games, like Candy Crush.
